Brushing and flossing properly and regular professional dental cleanings, help prevent tooth decay and gum disease. When you brush and floss every day you remove some of the plaque that is continuously forming on your teeth. The clear, sticky biofilm that is not removed becomes hardened calculus / tartar.
A para-functional habit or parafunctional habit is the habitual exercise of a body part in a way that is other than the most common use of that body part. The term is most commonly used by Dentists, Orthodontists, or maxillofacial specialists to refer to parafunctional uses of the mouth, tongue and jaw.
Teeth Whitening begins with making a custom mold of the patient's upper and/or lower dental arches and fabricating a custom tray to deliver the whitening gel to the teeth. A variety of gels are chosen based on patient preference for daytime or nighttime wear. For patients who have or are currently experiencing sensitivity from teeth whitening in the past, we have ways of minimizing this discomfort.
Restorative dental care replaces a section or creates a complete tooth and is accomplished by a variety of methods described below. Fillings to match the natural color of the tooth are made of composite or porcelain, and have become much preferred over silver and gold. We use all of these materials to replace a portion of a tooth damaged by trauma or decay.

Dr. Dropkin is a wealth of knowledge about dentistry! While I haven't yet done any procedures on myself, I have referred friends to visit his clinic for many reasons and I have only heard great things. "Dental anxiety" or "dental phobia" is something that you will forget by the time you meet Dr. Dropkin and his staff. I would refer him to anyone.
Update: I have done procedures for myself, and can't say enough about it. As anyone else, I still dislike going to the dentist, but at Healthy Smile Winter Park they make it easy!

Dr Dropkin is not only a great doctor to work for and with but all the patients just adore him. He is so kind and gentle and that speaks volumes in a dental office. I see why he never has a turn over of staff. Great Doctor to share space with and day!!!!! My wife recently had a tooth infection and struggled to get an expedited appointment. Dr. Dropkins took special attention to fit her in and provide services to eleviate the pain and uncomfort she was experiencing. My family and I will be scheduling future examinations with him as we have never experienced care nearly on par with his services and attention to patient care. The tooth fairy may have to do some re accounting!! 😁😁

I have know Dr. Dropkin for 8 years, and been going to him for 6 years. Most people are afraid to go to the dentist and if you are, he is the place for you. Dr. Dropkin has a relaxing and caring manner. His staff is very pleasant and friendly. No joke, I have fallen asleep in the chair. I can't tell you all the things that he has done for me over the years, but I can tell you if you are looking for a dentist & one of the best in town, you have to go to Stuart Dropkin @ Healthy Smiles, Winter Park.

While I have not yet gone to his office for a long needed check up I have been looking for a new dentist since moving to Florida. I have heard nothing but great things about Dr. Dropkin and I get to see him at a weekly meeting at which I am constantly asking him questions. He always smiles and answers all of them no matter how strange the question may be with a vast knowledge and understanding of his craft. I can't wait to make an appointment and get a check up.

I don't really like to go to the dentist. That said, I have had my daughter go to Dr. Dropkin's for some cosmetic dental work...beautiful. My son had go to Dr. Dropkin just before he had to leave for Europe. Dr. Dropkin, knowing our situation, actually came in on his day off to accommodate the situation. My son's experience, awesome. Eventually it came to me. I broke a tooth. He quickly scheduled me to come in the very same day. The experience wasn't bad. The doctor has such a gentle way about him that it calms the most anxious patient. And, the results, great. Like it never happened. I will go

I am writing this minutes before I call and make my appointment, which is long overdue. I have a natural aversion to anything medical, including dentists. I have been to Dr. Dropkin and have to say he and his staff share a very calming and professional demeanor. I was at ease like never before. I greatly appreciated he did not try to 'up-sell' me on any of a number of 'specials' as so many dentists do. He is a craftsman and may be one of the most sincere, nice people you will ever get to meet. 5 Stars.
