A unique Adirondack attraction celebrating old fashioned fun for all ages through entertainment, art, and education. Families must present their EBT card and a valid form of photo ID on entering the Carousel. The Adirondack Carousel carvers were selected based on their skills, carving sophistication, and quality of embellishments after a review of their previous work.

Being a Carousel volunteer is its own reward, seeing the surprise on the faces of little children as they see the Carousel for the first time, hearing the laughter and meeting people who have traveled here from near and far. Your happiness adds to the power of the Carousel to make others happy.

Thanks to the generosity of our many contributors, we have been able to create our magnificent one of a kind carousel. While we cover many of our operating expenses with ride tokens and admission tickets to special fundraising events, we also need donations, and gifts to cover maintenance costs, provide rides to children from low-income families, and add to our very popular children's play area.

My son and I were camping at Meachem Lake near by. We came to Saranac to check it out. The carousel and surrounding displays were fun but the whole place seemed really static and sleepy. That may be because there were no people there when we got there but it was a weekend day. The carousel was cool. They have animals in it from the area...ALL the animals...including black flies, lol! For any of you who aren't familiar, black flies are the scourge from hell and folks in the area have learned to have a healthy sense of humor about them.

We visit here this pass 4th of july. not much was going on in the town and not too many people were out and about. which was surprising to me. we came across here and i love older carousels. this one was a little smaller than i expected but very nice and well care for. my 14 year old like the area but wasn't into it. but all the younger kids were having a blast. my wife and i had couldn't pass up a ride. tho it was a little short we enjoyed being a kid once again. it was a nice touch the put out watermelon and cookies for their guest. they do have a small selection of drinks to purchase but my

The Adirondack Carousel is a great place to take the kids anytime. Each animal is hand carved and native to the Adirondack park. Outside is a playground and a pond mural currently being worked on. Each painting on the carousel is a different scene from around Saranac Lake. There is a play area for kids on the inside with different games and coloring projects. Definitely a place to stop and check out.
