Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio Company Dancers are a group of young students who show promise and an enthusiasm for dance! Company Dancers demonstrate an extra commitment to dance and involvement in Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio. Company Dancers train under Miss Carolyn and her staff, as well as master teachers from around the country!
Students have studied with the Moscow Ballet, Radio City Rockette's, So You Think You Can Dance Contestants, Joffrey Ballet, Alvin Ailey Dance Company and more! As a performance based Studio, Company dancers have the opportunity to perform at various events and venues throughout the world!

My daughter only started dance a few months ago and I had no idea what I was doing. Everyone I spoke to was very understanding, friendly, and great to work with. My daughter absolutely loves her teacher and is very excited every Saturday morning to go to dance. To me it was worth every penny to see her smile after dance class and after her recital.

Placement is based on each student's unique and individual capabilities determined by our graded curriculum. Age is used as a guideline. Generally, students spend 2-3 years in each level. Being in a level for more than 1 year does not mean a dancer is not progressing. Our curriculum intends for dancers to receive training in a level for multiple years as they develop and retain repetition of instruction.
CDDS will continue online dance classes in the upcoming season for those unable to return to in-studio group classes. Our virtual program received such positive reviews and we want to keep the joy and benefits of movement accessible to everyone. For security reasons, Participant Name must be changed to dancers FIRST and LAST NAME in order to be approved in to class from the waiting room.
CDDS offers private and semi-private lessons in-Studio and online for serious students ages 6+ seeking individualized technique training. Lessons available at Warwick, Cranston, Smithfield and Online. Masks and distancing are required in-Studio and only students and staff are permitted inside the buildings.

My dancer is entering her 4th year of dance at a Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio. We started out at the Cranston studio, followed by virtual programming and landed at the Smithfield studio for our 3rd year. All the dance teachers and admin staff we have worked with are warm, nurturing, and fun! Our little dancer has learned so much and continues to enjoy her classes and performance opportunities. We just love our dance community!

My 2 y.o. granddaughter attends class here regularly, actually they have more than 1 location. Saturday morning mom had to work so I filled in. It was further away than I thought. It was a fun class, afterwards they came up to me and said. You maybe at the wrong location? Sure enough I had gone to the wrong address. They said no problem she can just go back next week. They were very kind about my senior moment.
