Three stars because the education you get here is great, but there are very few permanent jobs for commercial divers. This school alone is flooding the market with qualified divers, since they graduate a class every month. Please be sure you have a job lined up before you spend the money. You may end up with a series of positions of very short duration. You may not be able to support yourself in this line of work.

I wish I could give 5 stars. But the school has thieves. Since 2006 I've been fighting a loan that I never got.
CDA claims that I needed more money to graduate.
That is a lie. I graduated April 27 or 28 of 2006. It was a Thursday. I left the property, and went back home to SC.
Someone at CDA took a photo copy of a loan I did take out, used white out on the date and charged it to MAY 1 2006. If I needed more money, then why did I graduate with my class, and why the loan 4 days after I graduated
I've got numerous emails from CDA, and they are unwilling to admit that they stole from me

I used to work with health inspectors prior to coming here for a different career path. If it was seen by Diversey's facility management, food safety and hospitality sectors, it would be painful to listen to them. Jobsite and offshore living simulation is great but how can you learn if you are so caught up in trying to feel better after spending 5 days feeling like black death. Everyone's getting sick, me included. Swollen lymph node, painful throat infections, fever, chills, the whole package.

The dorm rooms and showers are two people per key. On top of what was previously stated the dorm room will also not lock. My daughter mail was opened
And I think that very wrong. It is un lawful to do this and I will be making some phone calls

The staff is horrible. It’s takes 5 days for a lazy person to email your trainscript. Lashanda was unprofessional from the start when “Z” would done it in 5 minutes. They have a high turn around with staffing which causes constant problems for the student. It’s been over a month just trying to get a transcript. They will not help you once they have your money. Go elsewhere and don’t fall victim to there scam.

I enjoyed learning from the trainers. These guys seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs and training students. However, I would not live on campus. A lot of drama between students afterhours. Also, one is going to want to make sure all of their personal belongings and gear are secured. While I was there someone broke into the wet locker and stole a lot of gear. I personally had about $2000 worth of gear stolen from that fiasco.

I was the parent of a student. I always felt that the office understood my concerns with our son being fresh out of high school and so far away from home. They answered any questions I had helped him with issues when he need help. This is not a college. This is school that teaches people how to dive in the real world and what it's going to be like "on the job" and I think they did a great job. Nothing is perfect there will always be something someone doesn't like. My son got a job before graduation and I believe CDA prepared him for the real world of diving. Thank you CDA

I graduated from this school in march. In the time i was there we had our dive locker broken into and robbed. My financial status was called out in front of the entire School in the school was being investigated by Department of the Navy for fraudulent against veterans. They refuse to help us with are stolen gear in the dive Locker they provided for us and told we had to keep all of our dive gear in. I did get my search from the school when they are all valid but it seems like they refuse to help with job placement when you ask. they help you for the first 3 months then you never hear from them

While I was at CDA, I had a great experience with the instructors, and the administrators were outstanding with the attitude to help the students in every fashion. The barracks are designed to get the students ready for offshore life, and the food is decent. You get what you put into your education while you are here.

This school is the best place to learn the trade Period.the founder is a legend in the field.I went to this school and had a great experience. I highly recommend it. The instructors are great and will help anyone that falls behind. Once you have the diploma you can pick where you want to work. Go down and visit the school yourself and you will see that they are the best.

After reading all the below reviews I am going to add my 2 cents. Once again I attended CDA and got thru quick and went to work. Please don't let the bad reviews of non hackers and lazy people discourage you from

I am currently a student at CDA. I will say looking at my choice of school I would not do it again ever. There is an extremely large turnover of instructors, I have only been here 4 months and have seen at least 5 leave and new ones arrive. But dont think thats the only downfall of this institution they do whats cheapest for them the pictures and glamorous clear water shots are not what you will experience. They front their deep water facility at OCALA florida which is where you will spend only 2 weeks of your 5 months there. You will spend your time diving in 20ft of water in the trout river which
