You may become a member of Telco Community Credit Union if you Live, Work, Worship, or Attend School in Alexander County, Avery County, Buncombe County, Burke County, Caldwell County, Catawba County, Cleveland County, Haywood County, Henderson County, Iredell County, Jackson County, Lincoln County, Madison County, McDowell County, Mitchell County, Polk County, Rutherford County, Transylvania County, Watauga County, Wilkes County, Yancey County or if you are an employee of one of our Select Employee Groups (SEG).
Over 200 companies in the region participate in Telco's Select Employee Group (SEG) program. You may join the Credit Union through one of these companies as well. Employees of these SEG companies have the opportunity for additional exclusive benefits. Another form of ID that displays your current address (name and address must match photo id: i.e., utility bill, insurance bill, phone bill).
If you have previously applied for a loan, you can check the status of your application using the Loan Application Status feature above. A red asterisk (*) next to a field indicates it is required. Select Joint if you are applying with another person, or if you are married and living in a community property state (AZ, CA, ID, LA, NM, NV, TX, WA, WI).

I have been with telo community credit union for several years now & i want to say this is the most caring staff i have ever banked with. Pam Gonzalez the manager there is the most caring & professional manager i have ever met. I'm a disabled veteran & both times i have taken a loan there she has been so kind & treated me like i was royalty. She has opened the door for me because I'm use a walking can & made sure it was safe back to my vehicle. I can't say in words what that means to me. Honestly the worst bank I’ve ever been with. My card wasn’t working for a week. I kept calling and they told me “well it’s active” But I’m telling you it’s not working. Now my online log in wont work. I called a minimum of 4 times this morning with zero answer, I just keep getting disconnected. When I finally got ahold of someone she had the worst attitude. I’m switching banks, I suggest you do too.

SCAM WARNING! This bank recently switched all cards from Visa to Mastercard. I have multiple accounts with this bank and my old cards have labels on them identifying the accounts (Business, Medical, Personal, etc). One of the new cards came with the correct label but another was sent with no label. I called to notify them of their mistake and asked them to send me a correctly labelled card. First, the woman on the phone told me they "no longer offer that service" which I knew to be a lie since one of the brand new cards was in fact labelled. After she was properly educated by one of her associates

Terrible gave out my banking information to a family member who was able to log into my account and a terrible process with new cards last week and no customer service call number that you can ever speak with someone. Just today called 3 times on hold about 20 min and it will hang up really have me to where we about to change banks

They won’t answer their phones, most uneducated ignorant people I have ever dealt with. Constantly making mistakes with my account and not trained well enough to handle straightening it out. They are by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with. They are a nightmare! Run, don’t walk to another bank!

ATM never works. Just swallowed my card, now I have no idea when I'm going to get another one, or if. The after hours number is not working just constant holding. Been here my entire time of banking. Really considering my options of taking my account elsewhere at this point.

These people are the worst lately. I been with them 10 years and they finally pushed me to a point where I’m leaving.
In the beginning they were fine, never had the nicest people working there but I made sure to keep my distance and not visit unless I absolutely had to.
Leicester branch has always had the rotten apples.
Stay clear. Go to Weaverville if need be.

I have banked with Telco all of my years in Asheville (10). They have helped me buy a house and two cars. Years ago, the branch manager stood by my side when I needed to speak to the (at the time CEO) to plead my case. It was a very human experience and I was heard out when I said I had nothing in Asheville.. yet but that I planned to put down roots here and would one day be a strong member of this community. As promised, I have sent many, many customers their way since and have created my own small brick and mortar business which I've owned for years, partly, thanks to the faith they showed me

Great bank, who goes above and beyond for its members. A response to all the one stars about the staff being “less than friendly”. Some of you walk into these places looking to pick a fight; yelling, cussing, and being rude to these employees who have nothing to do with the issues that you probably caused. The people here are doing their job and doing it well. I’ll continue to bank here for a long time.

I've banked here for years, and never had a problem until these past 6 months. I can never get in touch with branch manager, she never returns phone calls, and the ladies they now have working the drive thru windows acts as if she's irritated every time I come thru. Currently looking into other banking options , and seeking to transfer current loan accounts as well.
