Services
The new owners, Greg & Yvonne Gardner are lifelong Uinta Basin-ites and know what a special place this is for outdoor enthusiasts. We are excited to take the reins from the Woods and look forward to meeting all the regulars and all the newcomers to the lodge. We also own and operate the Moon Lake Resort and run the two facilities in conjunction with each other.
We have a lot to offer, whether you are settling in for a stay here, or on your way into the High Uinta Wilderness. You are more than welcome to request additional services not listed. We can and have made special arrangements with guest upon request. Please call for special complete lodge rental rates.
We are offering Horse trail rides in conjunction with Flying J Outfitters on the Lake Fork Drainage of the High Uintas. This is the drainage that Moon Lake sits in. We are offering everything from short horse rides (approximately 20 minutes) to day long horse rides into Brown Duck Basin or other surrounding drainages like Swift Creek, Yellowstone and Rock Creek Drainage areas.

Very nicely remodeled. We stopped there for a folk music concert. We expected the concert to be outside and had packed a picnic dinner. When we learned it was inside, we asked the hosts if we could possibly have our dinner in the breakfast area. The were happy to oblige us. Greg and Yvonne are the best!

I stopped by for the food and got a quick tour of the hotel. The staff is kind and helpful. The girl at the register was on her first day, but she has been trained well and answered all my questions. The pulled out to sandwich was the ncredible. And you need to get a Huckleberry soda. The rooms are clean and very well taken care of. The location a near many views.

Love this place. I'm so glad there are still good people who live and operate great businesses in smaller towns and areas. Fishing and recreation in the area around Mountain Home is incredible, but also remote. Knowing you always have access to the basics even when you are way out in the Uintas definitely brings peace of mind. I just called for a neighborhood weather report before possibly heading out to the area this weekend. They are always willing to help and share information and take care of guests. Thanks Guys! Keep up the Great Work!

I have been to Mountain Home Inn two times. The first time I went, I took my small family to stay the night here and received excellent service! The rooms were cute, beds were comfy, food was great, and the lodge owners were very accomodating. The second time I came we had a family get together and the location was perfect. There was a small pavilion plus a place for the kids to play and run around. I highly recommend the Mountain Home Inn for a night stay or as a place to have your family gatherings.
