Popi's of Aurora is owned and operated by mother-daughter duo, Popi McMichael and Bella Robinson. Father, Donnie McMichael, also joins the team to expand their services to include teeth whitening; see Services for the next upcoming event date. Popi started her training in 1982 and through hard work and dedication she swiftly moved up through the industry.
During her travels across the country with Paul Mitchel and Tony Ina (Ina Perm Rods), she also trained in Toronto and California at Sassoon Academy. Popi has worked behind the chair for over 35 years, creating new looks for each individual client. She believes that education is the key to being successful in this industry.

First, I'd just like to say that I am ABSOLUTELY happy that I found this little gem in Aurora. Having "lost" my previous stylist due to them moving to another state, I attempted 2 other places and just not happy with the overall experience. I searched reviews and even though I'm also skeptical of reviews (family and friends helping out) you just never know, especially when every single one is glowing. EVERY review is correct! Popi is wonderful and gave me the best haircut I've ever gotten. She really understood what I was looking for and I let her do what she thought would be best. I hardly have to do anything on a daily basis for it to look great. Beautiful, relaxing salon that is family-owned. Her experience shines through in her work. I really can't recommend her and her salon enough.

I'm a very inconsistent person when it comes to hair styling. I tend to go too long between visits, and I seem to be inconsistent with where I go to get my haircut. Not anymore!
Popi gave me the best haircut I've ever had. Neat, clean, seemingly up to date (I don't keep tabs on these things but it looks like what my college kid is wearing). I feel like a million bucks.
