A conventional mortgage loan is a conforming mortgage that is eligible for purchase by Fannie Mae (FNMA) or Freddie Mac (FHLMC). Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), whose sole purpose is to provide affordable lending and liquidity to the mortgage market. Conventional Mortgages are not insured or guaranteed by the federal government.
Fixed-rate mortgages are the most common way to finance a home in the United States. A fixed-rate mortgage, often referred to as the most straight forward of mortgages, is a fully amortizing loan where the interest rate on the note remains the same through the life of the loan, as opposed to loans where the interest rate may adjust or "float".

Report
On multiple occasions, I've found Wallace & Volk a bureaucratic company to have a mortgage with. They keep making the same mistakes and leave it up to their customers to fix the mistakes. The people on the phone are not helpful at all, might as well just use the automated system. I can't wait until I refinance and get a different company. It's unfortunate that when you get a mortgage you can't restrict which banks ultimately service the mortgage.
