Energy Select is a full-service energy consultant and contractor. We provide solar panel installation, energy audits, lighting retrofits, and other money-saving services for both residential and commercial customers. We specialize in looking at the whole picture to provide the best energy solution with a balanced effort of energy conservation and clean energy production.
Solar panels work! With the cost of electricity rising in Maryland on average 4% per year since 2001, a 2020-expiring 26% federal solar tax credit, and a $1,000 Maryland homeowner solar grant, now is the time for your home or business! We are your local solar company! We are a fully-insured, accredited, and licensed electrical contractor.
While there are many types of solar technologies, the most efficient for our area are photovoltaics (PV) panels. These can be as simple as the small PV panel in a solar-powered calculator, or as robust as an array of solar panels powering your business. It all sounds a little like Star Trek, but the earth is being bombarded with the sun's photons.
While solar panels can pay for themselves over the long run, there are many solar incentives that can greatly shorten the time and increase your return on investment. These benefits are great, but keep in mind, they benefit the owner of the solar system, so if you are leasing your system, you are not the owner and therefore do not receive these benefits.
While solar energy is a great technology, having the right partner to maximize your return on investment is important. We used Energy Select about 2 years ago to install solar panels on our house. We found the owner of the business and all his staff easy to deal with and very responsive to any issues that we had during the installation process. They are very knowledgeable and up to date on the latest in the solar industry. Energy Select also did an energy audit of our home.
