My name is James Dixon originally born in Florida raised in Nc and hailing now from the foothills area for the last 20 years. I've always been good at a lot of different things, as my friends will tell you, I wear many hats, as one just isn't enough for my creative energy. The one thing that was constant is that I loved music.

The property at River Creek Lodge has belonged to the Johnson family since the 1940s. What was once a horse farm has now been transformed into a beautiful rustic, private lake front wedding venue nestled in the countryside in Stony Point, NC along the Yadkin River. With nearly 150 acres and three separate wedding locations on site, River Creek Lodge is able to accommodate a variety of wedding sizes and styles.

My new husband and I have literally zero complaints and truly wish we could give James more than 5 stars. James and his assistant, Christian, made our wedding day absolutely perfection. They were beyond professional and absolutely killed it! We have had wedding guests telling us nonstop about how James could read the room and new exactly which direction to take it!

James went over and beyond to help us get everything set up for our venue. We had transitions between 2 buildings twice during the night and he had music set up and ready for both places! I requested that he be there for rehearsal just to put my mind at ease and he was pleased to come out for that as well, in order to help my stress level on the day of! Him and his assistant worked hard to keep the day running smoothly and even stepped in to help in any other way that they could as well! They are awesome and so much fun to work with!

James, Christian and Sabrina were all amazing during our wedding! Sabrina made sure everything went smooth and made adjustments throughout the night when she realized not as many people showed up. James and Christian kept the party going and we had a great wedding because of all of them! We definitely recommend having them at your event or wedding!

Absolutely amazing service!!! My wedding would of never been successful without James and Christian. They went over and above taking care of everything to make sure things went smoothly and the bride could relax. This even included James bringing out a bottle of cold water for the bride to drink during pictures. Dash events and Entertainment truly care about what they do and give their 100%. I honestly couldn't of asked for anything better. I highly recommend them for any service you need. There is no reason to look around. They are the best!

James is absolutely amazing! He was super helpful and listened to all of my concerns and answered any questions I had. He helped with the flow of cake cutting, speeches and it made everything so much easier on me. Music was great, he definitely hit it spot on genre and era wise for us! The dance floor was never empty. If you are looking for a fun dj who knows his stuff I highly recommend him!

James was so great in helping ensure our wedding day ran smoothly. His DJ services were top notch, from the ceremony, to cocktail hour and dinner, and through the reception. He was responsive, very organized, and wasn’t afraid to lend a hand whenever needed. He was able to read the crowd and play the right songs at the right times. I would recommend Dash Events and Entertainment to anyone planning a special event!

I would highly recommend James and Dash Events & Entertainmnet for you next event. Not only is he very prompt with answering emails, he was wonderful with keeping the wedding flowing and didn't let changes in the schedule bother him at all. His personalized mash up for the father/daughter dance was great and was a favorite by all. Our only regret is that we didn't take advantage of all the other services he offers. Thanks again for helping make our daughters wedding a success!!

We hired James and Mark for our wedding! The whole day was absolutely amazing from start to finish and they were a huge part of that! Not only did James work with my coordinator to make sure everything was planned before the wedding but he was very responsive and very professional during the event! (even with the hurricane moving the timeline around) Mark did an amazing job on my makeup as well as my girls hair and makeup, making all of us feel so special! We have known James for years with us both being clients of his and we would not have even imagined having this event without hiring Dash!!
