Our mission is to enhance health, safety, sustainability, and happiness through bicycling. Anyone can learn how to maintain or repair a bicycle at our community do-it-yourself bike shop. Tool use and guidance are free. You can also shop from a wide selection of affordable used bicycles and new and used parts and accessories.

We can't do it alone. We're deeply appreciative of all donations: volunteer time, financial support or donated bicycles, parts, accessories, and tools you're no longer using. We rely on volunteers in the shop, in the community, and behind the scenes. Subscribe to our e-newsletter "The Quick Release" or connect on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
Services
Our community do-it-yourself shop is a great place to enjoy bicycle camaraderie no matter your skill level. Organized workstations are available for anyone to use at no cost; we also sell bicycles and parts donated by generous people like you. Fix a flat, strip a bike, do it yourself or volunteer to guide others - everyone is welcome!
We reach thousands of people every year through our bicycle programs and community events, including Corvallis Spring Roll and Open Streets Corvallis. Check the Latest News for updates and volunteer opportunities. Our mobile bike repair workstation gives people a chance to fix a flat or make a tune up on the go.
Celebrate our 10th anniversary with us in 2021, but join us on Love to Ride now if you want to log rides this spring for fun - or your homeschool PE class. All proceeds support Corvallis Bicycle Collective's work to get more people on bikes and create conditions that empower people to ride. Event registration fees will be covered for members of Samaritan Choice and InterCommunity Health Network CCO health plans.
CBC shop gift certificates - Empowerment Bucks - are good for the cost of bikes/parts in our community do-it-yourself bike shop. We give Empowerment Bucks to local social service agencies who, in turn, give them to people with limited means. It's our bicycle-powered contribution to independence and community resiliency.
We believe that everyone in our region should be able to be healthy. Health begins where we live, learn, work, and play. Together we are working to ensure a future in which healthy opportunities are possible for everyone in Linn and Benton Counties. Corvallis Parks and Recreation preserves and creates a community heritage by providing places and programs designed to enhance the quality of life.

I just called for the first time. I had not understand exactly what the 'Collective' part of the shop name meant... The super nice man who answered phone was very helpful explaining exactly how everything works there. The 'do it yourself' part, ETC and getting help I will need to buy a solid used bike and make modifications/repairs at time of purchase. I'm really looking forward to going there in near future to explore the shop and available bikes!! "Thank you!!" Susan

Typically ron is cheerful and inquisitive, helpful. Yesterday was not one.
Im getting really irked with classism that the bicycle collective has devolved into.
I arrove at 12:03 doors locked. There were several gentlemen huddled around cloisters of tools. I had to knock repeatedly before I was allowed entrance.
No greetings, no how ya doing, can I help you find anything. Just irregular sneers and side ways jaunts about mask preferences.
I picked out the bicycle I wanted and asked if there was a rack available so I can fix the issues with the bike im about to purchase.
Ron grabs the bike, tosses

Over the years your polices over customer treatment has degraded...
Where once you could ask for assistance with a chain or derailleur, now you better know it all yourself or dont come in.
I dont appreciate the boyfriend's breakfast club the old men have turned it into where it has become socially acceptable for them to passive aggressively talk about the legtimacy of mask choices rather than offer up one from any of the three boxes of masks stashed under the desk.
You have made this once long-time, loyal customer not welcome nor feel comfortable in returning.
Edit: all 6 people in that room

Not only is this a place where you can get your bike repaired for free, where the workstations, tools, and knowledge is provided for you, but you also walk away knowing so much more about your bicycle and how it functions.
I went in to have my derailleurs tuned, the gentleman loaned me the tools and explained to me the function of each part and its components in detail.
Now I can adjust the derailers myself, at my house, with a flat head screwdriver...
Which will probably save me hundreds of dollars over the course of my life...
Thank you cycle collective the world needs more shops like yours

Good variety of used bikes and other related stuff. I went there looking for a used bike and the guy who sits at the counter (don't remember his name) was super nice and helpful as I had multiple silly questions.
I do feel that many items are a bit too expensive for used bikes though, considering that they were donated by people. I am a student (and basically broke) and needed a cheap option which I could use to go to the campus etc. Unfortunately, I was unable to find something. Wish they had a bit more affordable options for students.

Amazing service for a college town! Ron taught me how to fix my own bike and that was a great experience. They are super helpful and you can find almost every parts for your bike for an extremely reasonable price!

Ever since they opened several years back, the bicycle collective has been an amazing bicycle resource for Corvallis, without a doubt! At their 11th St. location, they have a great selection of bikes for a reasonable price, usually with some unusual treasures in the mix. They are highly recommended whether you live here, or are passing through Corvallis. You will not be disappointed. The head of the shop is also very helpful and knowledgeable.

The Collective is a great spot for finding random parts for old bicycles and for picking up used bikes for the kids or yourself. You can use the bike stands and tools to fix your own bikes (which is awesome) and you
can buy cable housing, brake pads, and all the stuff for maintaining your bikes. The staff know what you need, can help you find it and can show you how to fix your own bike. This is a great community resource!
