Services
Most domestic wells are 6 inches in diameter. The drilling process begins with an 8-inch borehole reaching at least 10' into bedrock. We attach a drive shoe to a 6-inch diameter steel well casing. We use enough casing to reach at least 10' into bedrock with 18 inches exposed above ground. The drive shoe creates a seal in the bedrock and the casing will keep surface water and sand out of the well.
Our skilled water well service technicians have over 30 years of experience. They can diagnose your water problem with a free initial estimate. Whether it is the installation of a new system, service on your existing system, we are here to help. We can also help with a no water situation. Our professional technician will give you an estimate of the cost and will quickly solve your water problem.
Richardson Wells & Pumps provides water wells and pumps. We service Central & Eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Northern Connecticut. We are only top of the line water filter manufacturers to install a system you can trust for fresh, clean drinking water. Our water filtration systems provide the best performance.

In this day and age of Covid, it has been a challenge to find a reliable contractor to respond in a timely manner. We woke up to find we had no water. I called Richardson at 9:00 am and was told someone would be out in the afternoon. When I was about to give up that they were arriving, at 4:30 Eli and Mike showed up. They worked until our pump was installed, even calling in another truck for parts. Great company!

I made an appointment. Between 11 AM 12 pm, at 12:04 no one showed up at my home to do my title V water test. Contacted the company, some older woman said that oh I’m sorry the employee didn’t feel well and went home, oh I forgot to call you. I work in Boston, not only did I take the day off for my test, I lost a days pay. The woman I spoke with as I was telling her this hung up on me. I thought it may have been a mistake, I called back again and again no answer. So I guess when they hang up on you you call back and they don’t answer their phone this is the way of them hiding their mistake

In over 50 years I have not lived in a house with a well. I moved in about 3 years ago and have used Richardson Wells & Pumps for various well problems all with fantastic service and solutions. I discovered my old well was contaminated and needed a new well. Richardson Wells & Pumps gave me an estimate to compare with the two other estimates I had collected. I chose Richardson Wells & Pumps due to the communication, price and thoroughness of their proposal. They are very good at what they do and extremely courteous. They respond quickly to questions and I would recommend them

Told the technician the problem, he was certain it was a pump problem. It wasn't. They like to start at the most expensive fix and work down! My old pump pumped just as much as the new one. The pressure tank could not hold air - I informed him of this, but he dismissed it, saying it might need replacing down the road and that the new pump should keep up with the demand (just a garden hose running!) Not a half hour into it - the tank lost air and the pump shut off. The pressure tank needed replacing now - not down the road, but now I have to pay for that replacement (not by them) AND I paid for

I've been a Richardson customer for almost 10 years now after being referred to them by my father, a 46 year customer. They've been simply excellent in the support of my well and all my water needs. They're professional and are very reasonable with all service costs too. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We had no water on a recent Saturday morning. I called Richardson's and they were able to come out right away. After checking the electrical readout on our well pump, he said it was in the process of failing (it was 23 years old). Luckily he had supplies on his truck and was able to replace it right then and there! We were back with running water in no time, and have had no problems since. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and we would certainly call again if we needed assistance.

Drilled well had us pay for 780ft not water then said we should frack. Got water.. he let well sit for months because he had to order 200 ft casing. It was never set right, casing is 4" special order and very expensive.. This also makes the hole unfixable since no one can drill inside of that casing.
Bottom line.. I have a well head at 250 ft with nothing but muck at 270 and rising. This well is nothing more than an expensive hole in the ground. Drilling was never done right, casing was never set right, well is useless soon.
The owners whole attitude changed after he found out he was not getting
