We used The Makeup Loft for make-up and I am SOO happy I decided to hire them! Everyone looked absolutely perfect and the girls were so amazing to work with. Everyone looked so natural, yet glamorous at the same time. And the make-up lasted the entire night! We all received so many compliments. I will most definitely be using them for anyone future events and will be recommending them to everyone!

I had a wonderful experience at the makeup loft for my wedding! I’m a nurse and throw my hair in a high pony and out the door every day. The team at the makeup loft helped me achieve the perfect wedding look even though I didn’t know the lingo! My makeup was flawless. They were professional and keep to the timeline. A++

The Makeup Loft did hair and makeup for the entire bridal party. We couldn’t be more pleased or impressed by how friendly, welcoming, and professional the ladies of TML were. I am unable to reach anyone from The Makeup Loft on the phone during their posted hours. I emailed and tried to book them for my wedding...they asked about a time...I made a suggestion...it sounded promising. After six days, they finally got back to me. I guess after asking around they found that they were unable to accommodate me...on a Wednesday (a couple months out)...during their posted hours.
They called me back AFTER reading my review on The Knot. They left a voicemail telling me all the ways in which I was wrong. Also, they disputed the review left on The Knot. Classic. Very poor communication

Loved my experience with The Makeup Loft! Everyone I worked with was professional, friendly, and really made me feel and look my best for my wedding day. They listened to what I was looking for, and I felt like myself but just a more glowing, radiant version! My mom, sister/maid of honor, and mother in law also loved the experience. Super cute inside their Plymouth location too for getting ready photos. Highly recommend, especially Amanda for makeup!

Went to a private class here with a group. For the amount that We all paid, there should have been more attention and better customer service. There was only one teacher/artist for the whole party/class and there wasn't enough tools and make up for all of us. I kept having to ask and then patiently wait for the tool or brush that she showed and used, then wait for others to use it 1st because they had been given a tool or brush but I didnt get one. Then was given not enough make up to use and would have to wait and ask for more. Then had to wait to get a turn to ask how to apply make up only

Buyer beware! If you are a woman of color, the stylists here don't have experience working with a variety of hair types and skin colors/textures. (Their Instagram and marketing photos are evidence of this) They also required me to book before my bridal trial (which should have been a red flag) and I had to go back multiple times due to really bad hair trials. I ultimately decided to walk away and forfeit my deposit because the experience was so bad due to the stylist not knowing how to work with thicker ethnic hair.

The Makeup Loft was the first vendor I booked for my wedding. I was in a wedding a few years ago that had The Makeup Loft and I knew I needed them for my wedding as well! They do an amazing job with both hair and makeup and the makeup is very natural. My hair and makeup lasted all night. I was very pleased with how my hair and makeup turned out as well as all of my bridesmaids and the mother of the bride and groom. Everyone got compliments all night with how beautiful they looked. I would highly recommend The Makeup Loft!

I used The Makeup Loft for my wedding last year and all 9 of my bridesmaids and myself included loved our hair & makeup!!! I love the natural classic look of their makeup style and the products that they used were also very high-quality. I wanted my makeup to have a classic look that had a slight boldness and would capture well on camera and they delivered on that vision! The Makeup loft does an amazing job, I'm so happy I went with them for both my wedding hair/makeup as well as my bridesmaids. They were able to make my eyes pop, and brought a soft romantic tone to my hair which made me feel like the most beautiful bride! I love their classic look, it is timeless and looks to natural. It was great that they were able to travel to my parents' house getting ready, and very professional to work with.

Janelle and her team did an amazing job for my sister's wedding in July. I would definitely recommend them. From someone who learned how to apply makeup via YouTube videos and dance recitals, it was really nice to have my makeup done. Janelle even explained the brushes she used and some techniques. Plus, the Cosmakery line is really neat!

Janelle is a natural when it comes to makeup application. She knows her products, knows her techniques and knows what looks best on every skin type. I am one of those girls that never really learned how to do their makeup and if I go into a makeup store, I kind of walk around puzzled at all the choices. In a matter of moments, she was able to put together a customized package of products and brushes to give me the look I have been wanting but never able to achieve. I will definitely be going back and already have recommended The Makeup Loft to my friends & family!

I travel for a living, and still my favorite makeup artist around is Janelle with the Makeup Loft. She was very attentive, precise and professional.. Yet warm and welcoming of my input. I would definitely recommend them to any friend or upcoming bride.. Even from out of town. Don't forget to try her awesome makeup line for sale too!

I'm quite sure the Makeup Loft does fabulous work to any bride on her big day. I have no doubt that their 5 star rating shows the skills and services they provide. Unfortunately for the out of town bride, Jamie was not clear about explaining that booking a date over the phone with a credit card was possible. I asked for her to send a contract in the beginning of February and then I had to call her back 2 weeks later for the contract, because it was not sent. Yesterday I had a relative call about the contract and pay the deposit. They explained someone booked my wedding date in the beginning

This is a great place. I've been going to Makeup Loft for years! I even live in California now and when I'm back in town I stop in for a service. I have had facials, eyelash extensions, professional makeup services for professional photos. Always 5 star service! Janelle is the best. Don't think twice go here!!! She a great makeup artist! Staff is awesome, and her makeup line is awesome too!! Love her lip glosses!

It's not a business run by warm and friendly staff. This was a highly uncomfortable experience where the esthetician said she didn't know why I would have it done at all if I didn't like the end result. -Good question with my deepest regret. It was a complete mistake to go here prior to my wedding, and ended up having to pluck most of the lashes out!
