Tuality Healthcare Foundation board members participate in the oversight of programs funded by the Foundation, such as community education and scholarships. This board consists of up to 25 individuals, each bringing professional expertise and advice to manage and maintain the financial wellbeing of the Foundation.
Knowledge is the foundation of wellness. This is the simple idea behind the Tuality Healthcare Foundation. Formed in 1979, the Foundation promotes better health care through education and prevention, and works to improve the quality of life for families in western Washington County.

We support OHSU Health Hillsboro Medical Center (formerly Tuality Healthcare) by funding projects and programs that enrich the patient experience and wellness of our community. We envision a region-from Washington County to the coast-where there is access to consistent, patient focused, high quality care.
Most seasonal workers move from one crop to another. Their temporary status with each employer makes them ineligible for health care coverage. Without insurance, these men, women and their families often do not seek professional health care until their problems become acute. Their knowledge of health education is often limited, and they can be overwhelmed by the complex and confusing medical system.!Salud!'s mission is to bridge this gap.
The Tuality Healthcare Foundation Scholarship Committee distributes funds of various amounts to selected employee applicants pursuing health-related careers. The Helen Schoen Scholarship Fund was established by Herman Schoen in 1989 to recognize the outstanding nursing care his wife received while a patient at Tuality Community Hospital.
At Tuality Healthcare, we know that the best way to learn about the quality of care we provide is from the people that actually have been here and experienced it first hand. Here are some stories from our patients, families and Tuality staff. Ron Wastier knows a lot about the heart, having had a number of cardiac procedures over the years.

My primary is the best. She's very thorough, understanding and not afraid to let you know if she's stumped.

Like most emergency rooms, the wait can be long and agonizing depending on the condition you arrive in. I did wait for a while (faster that St. V'S). Once I was in the ER, my expectation was that I was going to be released that evening and to my unpleasant surprise, I was there for 3 very miserable days. Overall, not impressed with the hospital itself or the medical staff (nurses, technicians etc). I did make a connection with the doctor, thankfully. I hope I never go back!

Lots of waiting. Their food is really good. All nurses and doctors are nice. They do their best to take care of you and get you out of there.

Tuality is an amazing hospital and healthcare provider, I go to Virginia Garcia Memorial for my main healthcare. They're lgbtq, muslim, and poc friendly, and have always made me feel super welcome and comfortable.

Being someone with a poor immune system and a fair case of murphys law. I spend quite a bit of time at hospitals and doctors offices for one reason or another. This is a healthcare community i preffer not to go to. Not only was i damn near killed at its hospital atleast once. Everytime i go its a 50/50 experience. Half of the ppl are pleasant and fit for the job. The other half are useless with a general attitude as though they preffer to be elsewhere. I honestly wish something better was closer

There are a lot of great nurses here in progressive care and only a few bad seeds all around. But more good then bad.
