Kvilhaug Drilling & Pump

WORST CONTRACTOR EXPERIENCE EVER!
I have been dealing with contractors for over 40 years now. The new owner, Eric ultimately has abandoned this project after being paid in full. It has been radio silence since 2-11-2020 when he picked up a water sample to have tested for the Health Department requirements. Eric said everything will be finalized in 3-4 days.
Request for a quote on 7-17-18. Eric said "2-3 months out"
Received quote on 4-19-19. 9 months later
Well drilled 11-26-19. 7 months later
Pump installed 12-21-19. 1 month later
As of 3-29-2020 it has been almost 2 years and still not

Used their website to send a request on drilling/well, I was actually referred by a neighbor who spoke highly of them but I never heard back. I am not sure why companies add a form if they are not going to respond at all.

Honestly, I just feel grateful. Dan fit me into a busy day so I could get water again. He was courteous on the phone, despite my having called him in the middle of the job, and even tried to walk me through fixing it myself on the phone so I wouldn't be charged for a service visit. In the end, his charge for the service call was cheaper than a couple of other places I had called before finding him, and he was nicer, more professional, and honest. I had water again in no time, and he took a look at my other well on the property (which it turned out he himself had drilled about

Dan, Eric and Joe installed the water well equipment on our property. They have done an excellent job. Both Dan and Eric are very knowledgeable and experienced about water wells and associated maintenance and service. I am happy with the quality of work and the seamless execution. They knew what they needed to do and they took the time to do it right! I am impressed by Dan's hard work and commitment to do an excellent job in every step. Dan is generous with his time as he explains details about installation, maintenance, reliability. I would highly recommend Kvilhaug for water well flow tests

I have a house that has a well. A jet pump well, to be exact. It usually just chugs along and waters the plants, but every so often it stops working. When that happens, I call Kvilhaug and they come out a take a look at it. They order some parts, come back and put them in. Bingo. Well is back in action. Thanks Kvilhaug!

I moved into a home a few years ago with a well that dates back to the late 1800s. I had no idea of the history the well let alone what kind of pump or when it was installed. The well pump failed completely one day so I asked some neighbors for a recommendation. Kvilhaug Drilling & Pump was at the top of the list. Dan came out, took a look at the existing equipment, made a few measurements, took that back to Eric who send me a proposal a week or so later. Eric Kvilhaug is my hero this week! We were told we needed a new well by a reputable company. I called around for a second opinion at the insistance of a good friend. The second opinion saved us the cost, stress and uncertainty of drilling a new well. Kvilhaug was able to easily break through the blockage and insert new casing and a new pump for a fraction of the cost of a new well.
Very easy to do business with and I will use them again!

I would not give these people the satisfaction. I'm taking my business somewhere else. I talked to Dan and he talked to me as if he really didn't need the business. This guy was not nice at all. He was very rude and condescending.

My one star review is not based on Kvilhaug's actual service, but rather on the fact that I have been trying to reach them by phone for the last 3 weeks and have not had a single one of my calls returned. I have left numerous (polite) voicemails yet no one has had the courtesy to respond. Kvilhaug comes recommended by two friends so I really don't know what their issue is with returning calls. I wish they did so I could rate them on their actual service.

Dan is very good, but Eric is very aggressive and not polite, sorta a regent, had there sticker from 13 years ago when Dan was running it and did patch on pump, it lasted 13 years, then just needed a part replaced, per a agreement with Dan, Eric arrives and is a know it all, and wants to make this little 20' Well his vacation package $1300.00 and starts thinking he knows what new owners are expecting, and figure everything, note removed sticker, and will just leave as is. Also wanted to install a commercial grade pump, on a small track home Well for a sprinkler, and remove a Sears home unit

Great! Dan helped me figure out a water problem with our pump over the phone. Recommend.
