AMKO came to fruition when we noticed a need in our environment. We started this company in 1995 with the hopes of giving materials another chance at a life. In 2000, AMKO opened its doors to the public and began processing the communities recycled materials. Our mission is to promote a sustainable and supportive option for the community, businesses, schools, hospitals and every household.

My experience here was not bad at all, and as anyone who tries to get their bottle and can deposits back in California knows, that's saying something. Since rePlanet closed down, Redlands has been a recycling desert, so I put off my recycling run for months but finally had to choose a new location. I picked Amko based on clear signage and proximity to the freeway (10 minutes from Redlands), along with the fact that it's within its own recycling yard and not a kiosk in the parking lot of other businesses because I didn't want to think too hard about where to park or what the protocol was.
