After my zipper broke on my brand new coat the company I bought it from refused ANY refund, exchange, store credit and left me high and dry. I went to see Tom at Hyde Park Tailors who understood my frustrations and within 20 minutes had my zipper replaced. Tom saved the day and left me a very happy camper, BIG thanks!

I ordered a bridesmaids dress over the phone for an out of state wedding. When I received it, it was SO BIG. It fell down to my hips even when fully zipped. I panicked for a bit and then I found Tom. He assured me he could fix it but I was still a little nervous. I just picked my dress up this week and it fit PERFECTLY! He had to take out 5 inches and it still looks flawless. Affordable and quick too even during covid. I will definitely be returning.

This is a bit late however this man tackled a massive dress I had to wear for a black and white formal wedding this year. By massive I mean this dress was a ton of work. I have never had so many compliments on my dress. He was very respectful and helped me navigate the do’s and don’ts of alterations. I only wish I had more things to bring him. I will be returning!

If you are a military guy and you need your uniform altered you have to go here. Tom is an expert at his craft and does some of the cleanest tailoring I have ever seen. Tom is straightforward and to the point when it comes to his timeline and prices. I see a bunch of reviews saying he is rude, but honestly those people are probably used to tailors kissing their feet and telling them what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. Tom isn't a guy to tell you that you are too big for your suit because you are husky and have broad shoulders, he's simply going to say you are too fat and you

There are your money-saving options like Tide, Men's Wearhouse, Macys, etc. but they just don't cut the mustard the way that Tom hems his pants. I've taken six pairs of Ralph Laurens to him and have him working on three pairs of Hilfigers right now. He is professional and he is direct and that honesty about what he does and how he does it goes a long way to understanding what amount of work is going into what Tom is about to do. I'm someone who can make dress pants last for years so when I get new pairs and get them tailored, I have no problem sifting through some of the more

I had an awesome experience at Hyde Park Tailors. I needed a bridesmaids dress altered in a short time frame and the owner of the business got it all done and I did not have to worry! He also got it exactly right the first time. I would highly recommend this business. I will be taking all my clothing that needs altered here in the future.

If you want good quality, you can absolutely come here. The owner has followed the traditions of his father, who immigrated from Italy as a tailor. In addition to altering clothes (we had pants altered here), he also makes custom suits, which we saw in the store. The owner was also very accommodating and amiable. We needed the alterations same day and he was able to meet our need. Only downside is price, which is more than I normally pay ($25 for pants alterations), but was happy with the results. Five stars so far, because the owner and I started off perfectly ... for me. I took in a bunch of trousers that needed to be let out. The owner kicked back two pair saying alterations wouldn't work, and explained why. That's the kind of money-saving advice I value. When the work is finished, I'll do a follow up.

This is the only tailor I trust in Cincinnati. I've been a loyal customer since moving to Cincinnati in 2009, and I am glad to say I have never had a bad experience with Tom.
Last winter I decided to try another well-known tailoring shop in Madeira. First I gave them some pants to hem: same price as Hyde Park Tailors, but the way they did them is inferior and lays less cleanly than pants I've had hemmed at Hyde Park Tailors. But passable.
Next I gave them a blazer to slim in the waist (a standard operation Tom at Hyde Park Tailors had done many times for me). They not only slimmed it

I'm going to say this straight up: I did not end up dropping off my blazers for tailoring.
Now, that being said, here's why: The owner told me directly that for the work he'd have to put in to make them look custom, I'd be better off investing in something newer that needed less adjustment.
I respect his honestly. Quite frankly his prices aren't so high, but they reflect his experience, and attention to detail. I always respect a person willing to turn away business because there's potentially a better option for the customer.

I stopped in Hyde Park Tailors half a month ago to get a suit altered for my dinner that night. Tom was fantastic throughout. Not only was he able to get it done the same day for a small rush fee, but he also made the suit look fantastic for a minimal cost. I would have paid double for the same results if he had quoted me as such. I had heard Tom is the best in Cincinnati, and that was clearly reflected in my experience here.

I brought in a pair of pants that wasn't hemmed properly by the first tailor I brought it to. He was able to fix the pants and explained what the previous tailor did, why it was wrong and how it should have been done the first time.
It was a little expensive, $25, but otherwise I would have looked awful wearing that pair of pants after what the first tailor did.

My sister took her chiffon bridesmaids dress here for my wedding. Was quoted in the $60 dollar range to shorten the hem for 3 layers of dress (the other 3 maids went elsewhere and were in the $30 range). When my sister picked up the dress, she was LIED to and told there were 4 layers and had to pay $100 to get the dress. She knows nothing about sewing and didn't realize she'd been duped until all 4 maids were together.
Hem job was very mediocre, higher than the other 3 and my sis was the shortest. I can't believe a reputable business would lie to a customer to get more profit,

I had a terrible experience with this taylor. I took a pair of Seven for all mankind jeans to him, upon recommendation by Karisma (no longer open). The tailer (owner) cut off the cuff of the jeans, and did not reattach them as promised. He had thrown away the cuff, and refused to do anything to remedy the problem- hence, $200 jeans ruined, and he couldn't have cared less.
