Meghan Thomas Mitchell, MD, FAAD is a board certified dermatologist. She graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina State University with a degree in Engineering. Dr. Mitchell served in the Navy teaching the basics of reactor physics to sailors. She then pursued her lifelong dream of a career in medicine.
Returning to her hometown of Chapel Hill, NC, she earned her M.D. at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Mitchell completed her dermatology residency at the University of North Carolina Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident. Following residency, she and her family moved to the metro area, where she initially practiced with a local dermatology group before starting Rock Creek Dermatology.

In the event that we are not a participating provider with your health insurance plan or you do not have health insurance coverage, we will be happy to provide care for you as a self-pay patient. You will be responsible for all charges at the time of service. We will provide you with any necessary paperwork and documentation to submit your bill to your insurance so they can reimburse you directly.
