It is so hard to find a talented hair artist who actually knows how to cut curly hair- Maria thank you so much! :)
I asked her to cut my 2C, 3A, 3B type of natural curls DRY and no worries- she did exactly what I wanted! I love my haircut!!

In town for a funeral and needed a cut (simple) and pedicure... hair cut by Maria was decent, some of the layers in the back are uneven... she talked about God and salvation (didn't need to hear that!)... and then she turned me over to Diana for my pedicure...
Cut my big toe cuticals twice which caused me to bleed and she wasnt wearing gloves, no massage, 10 colors to choose from, cold water, and my toes have no shape, polish on my skin... piss poor job at best and yet was charged full price

Used the yelp deal and got a pedicure and manicure. I was lucky to be able to get in the same day. Madalyn was professional yet comfortable. They have a barber that will do straight razor shave on men. They have spa services and hair cut and style. I definitely would go back again. Madalyn was also very good about being gentle with my healing broken toe. Wonderful salon!

In what seems to be a wasteland of franchising, there are still great small businesses to be found. Hair Ego made me remember this when I just needed to rein in the hippy for my boss. Mario and Maria took great care of me even as a walk-in that nearly made them late for their daughter's oboe recital.
I have a love/hate relationship with stylists and barbers alike thanks to my nomadish behavior and finicky hair. Mario knew exactly what to do with it and needed just an idea with which to work. As the proprietor, his passion for the business borders on overwhelming. It's easily forgivable

This place is awesome! The owner cut my hair and she seriously has talent. One of the best haircuts I've ever had! I love that this is a family business. Her husband does hair as well. You can tell they are very passionate about doing a great job. Perfectionist types! In a good way! I felt very welcome and appreciated here. I will definitely be back.
