Jay Dee'z Sports Grill was established by John Daniel Tohill in the charming town of La Grange, Texas in 2019. Chef John Daniel began his journey in the restaurant industry at the age of 16 years old. At 22, he decided to pursue a degree in the culinary arts after realizing he had a true passion for creating amazing dishes.
John Daniel later graduated from Le Cordon Bleu's Texas Culinary Academy in Austin, Texas in 2005 where he excelled in French and Modern American cuisine. He will tell you he learned the rest from his Mom. After graduating, he began cooking in kitchens from Scottsdale, Arizona to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and even in the British West Indies.

Two of us both ordered the daily special, cheeseburgers and fries. The burgers were great, however, the fries were lukewarm at best. We should have sent them back but we couldn't wait the extra time. Our server, MaCalley was friendly and attentive. She said she would let the kitchen know about the fries.

Best sports bar between Houston and Austin! Met some friends here halfway between us and was very impressed to watch a Sunday NFL game. Tons of tvs and seating. Big bar area and seating on either side. Couple pool tables. Best part was the service, great food (much better than typical bar food), and reasonable prices. Kind of strange brunch goes to 3pm, but have burgers beside eggs (or eggs on your burgers if you're in to that). Had the breakfast tacos with carnitas and tomatillo sauce. Delicious! If you're in La Grange, stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Surprisingly good small town option. While it's a sports bar, they have a full food menu. I met a couple of friends here for a bite on Saturday evening and went away full and happy.
First of all, the service is small town friendly. They know their customers and take care of them. Our drinks never went empty. Our server made sure our orders came out quickly and correctly. And she was more than willing to help with suggestions and offering to customize our orders.
My chicken strips and fries were good. Both were hot and crispy. And I was very impressed by the sweet and spicy sauce which was a great

I just ate at 12 o’clock. The restaurant was not packed. There were two servers. My server was in attentive the food came out cold the Nashville fried chicken sandwich is not hot and it had been overcooked and was cool by the time little Miss chatterbox came out and gave it to us. The waffle fry seasoning was good but the waffle fries came out cold and hard. Was not worth it. Waste of my time.

So glad we came across this place! Much needed laid back environment (a great small town welcome) with great music playing, food was great, the drinks were cold and awesome! Service was incredibly friendly. Amanda was overly welcoming and a joy to visit with. Will definitely be back! Keep up the great work to all.

I just moved here a month ago. Jay dees has been a top recommendation and now i agree, since i have been here the staff is amazing the owners are awesome always greeted at the door fun family restaurant that i would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a night out or just dinner with family and friends.

EVERYTHING. They greatest us at the. They brought our fur baby water right away. They even have a dog menu. How cool is that. The food was awesome and the drinks OMG the best. The owner was so sweet he… visited with is for a little bit. The waiter we had was just so friendly and welcoming. I just wish it was closer to my home. AWESOME JOB GUYS. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. ❤️
