Get information about your refund via Track My Refund. Unfortunately, we can not contact the IRS on your behalf. If the information you are looking for is not available, you will have to contact them directly. A tax extension allows you extra time tile file, BUT THE IRS AND STATE GOVERNMENTS STILL EXPECT YOU TO PAY YOUR TAXES ON TIME!

I have been getting my taxes done by the San Diego Taxman for nearly a decade now. l used to walk down the street to their location at the brewery I've long since forgotten the name of, but then I moved, quite a few times, changed jobs, got divorced, and they are still just as helpful as they were when they were three blocks away. They're helped me as a freelance graphic designer and now with my way simpler forms. I have been going to San Diego Taxman for years now and they are fantastic. I always go to see Patrick, he is so friendly and efficient and easy to work with. He makes the process of filing your taxes completely painless. San Diego Taxman is also a one-stop shop because after you file your taxes you can eat at the adjacent restaurant Hot Mess or grab a drink at Rebru's bar! Make sure you see Patrick early in the tax season because he books up quick!

Like another reviewer I was fired for being to needy. Actually I just wanted my returns done correctly, but that is ok. I was a client for 6 years, as I liked working with Dennis. I guess trying to do my taxes without meeting in person to review the data killed our working relationship. My numerous requested changes annoyed Dennis, even when I felt they were on his team, but obviously he would disagree. No worries though, someone will want my money next tax season.

Dennis and the team are true professionals! They pay attention to details (even smallish ones!), and have really good communications during the entire process. For several returns I had complicated returns due to an investment that showed up as a "partnership", and they took care of it. All in stride. Recommended !!!

Doing my 2020 taxes with San Diego Taxman was the worst tax preparation I've ever experienced. My preparer, Patrick, made countless mistakes. Most of the mistakes I caught during the review process, but one I did not catch (he did not include my S-corp 401k contribution even though I gave him that information). When my financial advisor caught the mistake, I asked Patrick to correct the error. In response, I got an aggressive response back from Nick that was both inaccurate and unprofessional where he accused me of having errors in my bookkeeping (which I did not), asking too many questions

Nick Mascetta is a Tax Ninja! Nick was great, super knowledgeable, and he made this process easy. I threw him a curveball or two, and he recovered quickly. First, I forgot to upload one of my w2's; then I didn't have my identity pin # that the IRS requires, then my ex claimed our child by mistake while using Turbo Tax. I felt horrible, but Nick was a star. He walked my ex and me through the whole process. Nick turned my frown upside down, and I have a huge refund headed my way! Thanks again, Nick! My ex and I will both see you next year!

Update: The boss Dennis O'Connor responded after he was CC'd. He said nobody actually called me stupid, and sent me an insulting meme. Meanwhile, another employee Patrick Carr, who is actually kind and helpful told me he had received the missing documents. So Dennis and another employee were mocking me for no reason. I'm a disabled Veteran, I have severe PTSD and being treated like that for no reason was truly awful.

We have completed our taxes with Minh at San Diego Taxman for three years, and we have had a fantastic experience this far. The staff are organized, efficient, affordable, and they even helped us out with the IRS mid year when we had forgotten to declare some additional income. Very disappointed with this business. Over three weeks ago, I sought out the services of SD Taxman. Met Dennis, who seems like a nice person and who also seemed willing to help me with a tax issue I had recently become aware of. Just today received an email that they were no longer taking any new clients. New clients? I needed help with one filing and waited three weeks to hear back from your assistant. Only after reaching out a second time did I get any response.
