Capitol is a full service lawn, landscape, and snow removal company. Brothers Brent and Bart Rutley, with push mowers and an old pick-up truck, started the company in 1983 as Total Lawn Care. Through hard work, the company continued to grow and earned the superb reputation that is now Capitol.

Grounds Maintenance Client Sites include, HOAs, Federal and Corporate Campuses, Office and Retail Locations, and, Upscale Residentials. No client site is too big or small, because each job allows us to demonstrate the "Capitol Difference" and word of mouth references are an essential part of gaining new business.
By using a wide range of fertilizers and compost products, Capitol is constantly promoting healthy plant, grass, and tree systems. In order to identify and treat any potential issues, Capitol routinely inspects the overall health of your plants, trees, shrubs, and lawn. We ensure this through on-going staff training and review of weekly report by the Maryland Cooperative Extension to guarantee knowledge of all current topics.
As with all of our maintenance services, Capitol is always standing by with the necessary equipment and manpower to ensure that your day-to-day operations are not delayed by unpredictable weather.
