When Yavitch & Palmer was founded in 1997, the goal was simple: provide professional legal service without pretense or prejudice. At that time, few, if any, Columbus or Ohio law firms were devoted exclusively to criminal defense. We wanted to create something unique. I knew Yavitch & Palmer is a criminal defense group, and I needed a domestic lawyer. But I always hear Steve on the radio (on 99.7) and he says to call his office for a referral. I could litter this review with my whole story... but I’ll shorten it and save the novel. They say insurance is to “transfer risk” and thus is why we should have health, auto, life, etc... but I think for some, an attorney would be considered as much insurance as those types previously mentioned. If you should find yourself in need of a good criminal defense attorney.....which I hope you do not ... But if you should , give these folks a ring. I first heard Steve when he began his segment on 99.7 The Blitz. I put Steve's number in my phone based on his sound and logical insight into legal issues, and I called when I needed his assistance. Over the years Steve and Jeff have counseled members of my family to make it thru what could have been very bad situations. On multiple occasions Y&P has also been able to refer my friends and me to excellent counsel for issues outside of Y&P's area of expertise. My experience with the group was great. Jeff represented me and kept me positive throughout the entire process. I was very pleased with everything that occurred. Even after the hearing I was able to reach out to Jeff and he was able to guide me through the entire process which was required by the court. His kind words during the hearing were very heart felt and I believe went a long way with the judge. I would definitely consider YP for anything in the future...but I intend to never make the same mistake.
