Our IRAs come in a variety of federally insured tax-advantaged options to help you save for your retirement goals, all while earning a competitive rate. The type of IRA you select to start will vary depending on where you are in life and how you want to access your funds in the future. A Traditional IRA is a perfect investment vehicle for retirement, and is primarily used for individual savings.
Mobile payment options allows you to make in-store and in-app purchases securely using your JSC FCU Visa Debit or Credit Card. Mobile Payment options include: Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, and Microsoft Wallet. The bill will be paid by check or electronically (ACH)depending on what the company you are paying accepts.
ATM/Debit Card Fraud occurs when your ATM/VISA Debit Card information has been compromised and unauthorized transactions are being processed. Your JSC FCU account information is still secure; therefore, your account does not need to be closed. Your card will need to be closed by calling 281.488.7070 or visit a branch.

EDIT (02/01/2022): Can I give 0 stars? It's now February. My property taxes are still not paid and now I'm receiving a $300 late payment penalty because this company is not paying my taxes from my escrow account. I'm so furious.
EDIT (01/29/2022): Pay my f---ing county property taxes! Changing this to 1 star. The payment was supposedly applied on 12/02/2021 according to my mortgage statement. Then how am I getting notice from Harris county that it has not yet been paid? Checking the hctax online clearly shows that it hasn't been paid. The taxes are due on 1/31/2022, and a penalty will soon be

I have been a member of JSC FCU since the 1980's. Overall, if I called for assistance or an appointment, the phone would be answered in 10 minutes or less. Now, however, after the rebranding as Wellby Financial, I cannot access my statement histories before October 2021. The IRS have to issue a subpoena to get the information for a tax audit, should one be required. When we tried to buy a car, we were on hold twice for 1hr 15 mins, and 1 hr 5 minutes. To obtain a cashiers check, we were still on hold after 45 minutes, when we visited another credit union, Aventa, who were finally able to help us

It’s pretty much been said by others experiencing the implosion of the transition to Wellby. After being a loyal JSC FCU member for nearly 40 years this fiasco has motivated me to become a member of NASA FCU. Since there is no affiliate branch closer than Friendswood I still need something close for banking. My mortgage payment going delinquent was the last straw. I can’t leave this place soon enough.

I’ve been a member with JSC FDU for a little over two years now (Isaac is actually the one who opened my accounting hope he still works there because he was honestly so amazing) and with the new transition over to Wellby I honestly have LOVED my banking experience. I’ve personally had no issues with using my card both before and after the transition to Wellby, and the new Wellby app is one of the most user-friendly apps I have used in a very long time. I’m notified of pending transactions and my account balance reflects each and every transaction I make even if the charge hasn’t been fully

The first time I asked a question using the secure message tool in the Wellby app, it took 15 DAYS to get a response… I tried again for a different question earlier this week, and we’re going on almost 4 days with no response. The auto reply says someone will respond within 24 hours.
I wanted to take out a loan, but it’s too late. I’ve already applied, been approved, and closed at the other bank on Gemini just a couple blocks away… They wanted my business.
Very sad to see after being a member for almost 20 years.

Absolutely ridiculous. My husband has been trying for over a month to pay his auto loan. Cannot reach anyone on the phones, no answers to emails sent to multiple addresses, and cannot use the online portal because it will not allow him to create an account. But when you try to call the website to get it set up, their 3rd party "security" website claims that they have wrong information. We got that fixed but still will not allow him to create account because the information is incorrect or there is always a network issue. They said they changed names to Wellby to reflect a better customer experience and everything has been awful! Nobody EVER answers the line, expect to wait on hold for at least one hour if you need immediate assistance. I’ve been a JSC member for close to 20 years but I am seriously thinking of leaving.
Please don’t bother with some generic “the lines are backed up from the transition,” excuse, because a competent company would make sure they are ready to launch BEFORE launching.

I am required to give at least 1 star, but I wanted to give 0 stars. It doesn't matter who powers the credit union or if it changes its name, if the customer service is horrible, it's still horrible. All I wanted was to deposit a check, cash a check that was written to my minor son, and withdraw some cash. I properly filled out the transaction slip, provided my DL, and included the two checks. I endorsed the one made out to me, and my son and I both endorsed the one made out to him. A check is a legal document, and if a party endorses it, that check can freely be cashed. I just wanted to take the time to commend Emily Medrano for outstanding membership service! I came in today with a problem with my account that was out of my control and she was able to resolve the issue in a prompt, tactful manner. I was very upset when I got there but when I left I was very pleased. She essentially turned a bad situation into a wonderful experience. We need more people like her with a sound knowledge base in order to keep the bank members well informed.

Two stars is being generous.....I have been a member here for about 20 years. I Wait on the call back option on the phone, I stay on hold for 30 min. Nothing, now that it is wallaby or whatever. Things have changed and I'm fixing to change over to USAA. Probably should have before. I NEVER write reviews but it was hard not to here. Honestly just sad to me. The service, and just being able to have the JSC card in my hand so that whomever I was paying knew who I banked with was always a good feeling.
