Literally right after the birth of my 2nd child because, well, why not add to the chaos right?! The blog was initially created as a way to share my knowledge of makeup so that future clients could go to it and ultimately feel comfortable booking me. Honestly, in the beginning, my blogging was pretty terrible as I look back at original posts!

Please note that I am very picky about what and who I work with as I want both to reflect my vision of myself and my blog. I adore getting emails from my readers and try to respond to all of them!
Of course, the dress, jewelry, and flowers are an important part of your one -of-a-kind day. To ensure that you feel beautiful and confident on that day, the best way to feel less stress about your face is to book a trial run with me in advance. That's when we can go natural, bold, dramatic, or soft and subtle -it's the time to play around until we get it just right.
Production makeup can include anything from commerical, film, to print. Never underestimate the power of a makeup artists job to keep your subjects for any of these projects looking appropriate for the story being told. I love to glam up a model for a magazine, fix a teens acne prone skin for a commercial, or do a little male grooming for a music video.
Sometimes we get stuck in a makeup RUT where we just do the same ole thing everyday. There's nothing I enjoy more than working one on one with my clients to help them with a makeup refresh! I mean who wants to go to the makeup counter at the department store to learn about makeup in front of the general public?

Jenny from JennySue Makeup is the best when it comes to professional MUA. I did a virtual makeup lesson with her yesterday and I think it’s the best thing I’ve done for myself in a very long time. For 30+ years I’ve only been able to manage mascara until I discovered JennySue. Within a few hours I’m now have the knowledge and confidence to do just about everything. We put together a make up look that I can tone down to a very lovely natural every day look or spend a little extra time on and use for my wedding next summer. I was thrilled with my makeup lesson! Jennifer sent me wonderful recommendations for products that fit my budget and style. She took her time making sure I understood what she was teaching me and I went from feeling only competent in putting on chapstick to knowing how to do a full date-night look. She was very friendly and helpful. The whole experience was convenient, personalized, and fun. I definitely recommend her!

JennySue makeup was so great in every way!!! She could not have been sweeter and made me feel so comfortable getting my make up done for the first time! I was able to talk to her ahead of time, show her some pictures for inspiration and talk through the look that I wanted. I also loved how clean and bright her space was. She made sure that I was 100% happy with my make up before I left and was able to tweak things as I asked. This virtual lesson was the best money I've ever invested in "makeup." Jennifer gave me so many ideas and tips for applying my products more effectively and took the time to explain in detail. She was very well prepared to address the concerns I had indicated. Her product recommendations were INCREDIBLE and saved me money! I reached out to Jennifer to do makeup for my wedding in Athens in April 2020. Our wedding was postponed until April 2021 and Jennifer was so incredible and organized throughout the entire experience. She was so easy (and fun!) to work with. I was hesitant to choose a makeup artist as I don’t wear a lot of makeup, but I knew immediately at the trial run that she was the perfect fit for me. When she was finally able to do my wedding makeup, I felt truly radiant and my makeup lasted into the evening. I highly recommend JennySue Makeup to any Athens area brides!

I did a virtual make up lesson with a friend. We needed a covid pick-me-up and it was so nice to indulge. We had such a good time and I learned a ton. I paid $25 more for Jenny to recommend products to use (so worth it). I stand in the cosmetics aisle completely overwhelmed by the endless choices of brands, colors and products and I have less than a 50% success rate. As a result, I’ve been wearing the same makeup for two decades and I’ve been so bored (and boring) and I’ve wasted money. Jenny has tried everything. I loved my virtual make up session with Jennifer! Her set up was professional so our Zoom session felt just as personal as an in-person would have. I loved using my own make up and tools with her step by step guidance so I could see what was working and/or what new tools I need or what products I should probably replace.
I walked away feeling more confident using what I currently have to create a beautiful look, but I also have Jennifer's list of personalized recommendations for products I can add to the mix when I want to. It was an outstanding value for money, can't recommend more highly!

Jennifer is not only an amazing makeup artist, but an amazing person. Working with her for my wedding day was such a joy, as she made it fun and stress free. She is incredibly talented at her craft and gave me exactly what I was looking for. The pre-wedding trial is great to help make sure that there will be no hitches the day of your wedding. Her assistant made my maids feel so special and my mother, who is not a big makeup person, loved the work that Jenny did. To say I recommend her is an understatement. See the pictures attached - I think they speak volumes of what she is capable of!!
