Founded in 2003, The Podiatry Group of South Texas now has 14 offices spread throughout San Antonio and southern Texas to serve patients with all types of foot and ankle problems. Our multidisciplinary podiatrists have a wealth of experience in the field. In fact, many of our surgeons work with local emergency rooms and hospitals, caring for patients of all ages in outpatient as well as inpatient settings.
The Podiatry Group of South Texas welcomes patients with all manner of acute and chronic conditions affecting the feet and ankles such as bunions, heel pain, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, fungal infections, gout, and more. Often, our patients suffer from complications of diabetes such as diabetic neuropathy and nonhealing wounds.

Dr. David Cauthon received his bachelor of science in pharmaceutical sciences at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in Missouri in 2001. He earned his doctor of podiatric medicine (DPM) from the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, in 2012. Dr. Cauthon completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) in 2015.
