Dr. Jeffrey Sonsino focuses his career on advanced contact lenses for the most difficult patients. He researches, publishes, lectures, and is a global leader in keratoconus, scleral, gas-permeable, hybrid, and custom soft contact lenses. He holds leadership positions within national and global organizations dedicated to preserving sight and protecting patients.
Dr. Barbara Odes was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Central Southern Africa. She received her Optometry degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following graduation, she worked for a few years and then went to London, England to complete extended training at the London Eye Refraction Hospital after which she successfully completed the British Supplemental Optometric examination.
Dr. Hayden Matz serves as the director of the Dry Eye Center at Optique, in addition to providing comprehensive eye care. His great interest in dry eyes led him to seek in-depth training with dry eye specialists Dr. Amy Nau and Dr. Don Korb at one of the most well-renowned dry eye centers in the world.
For years, Dr. Michele Sonsino split her practice in two locations: a trendy downtown Chicago optical, learning the art of boutique-style eyecare, and in the south side of Chicago, working with disadvantaged patients in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. Dr. Sonsino brought these varied experiences to Nashville and introduces a new concept in eyecare: Optique.
