Curbside Recycling Indefinitely
GJ CRI is a locally owned and operated business. Residential curbside recycling is offered in partnership with the City of Grand Junction under the direction of the Solid Waste Management Department. All money derived from the sale of commodities collected at the curb is returned to the City to help offset program costs.

All products listed in the Residential Recycling Guide are sent to market. In other words, if we say that we accept it, it's because it will be recycled. If it arrives at our facility and meets our guidelines, it will be sent to a mill right here in the US to be manufactured into something new. Curbside recycling was a new concept in western Colorado in 1989 when Mesa State College hosted a conference entitled "Think Globally, Act Locally".
Services
We frequently get calls concerning old refrigerators. It seems many of you need to know what to do when it comes time to put a large, bulky appliance out to pasture, but aren't comfortable with pushing one into the landfill. Blister containers are a type of rigid plastic (as opposed to flexible plastic films like grocery bags) which come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Signing up is simple. In order to qualify, you must live within the City limits of Grand Junction. Note that we are unable to service properties east of 30 Road, even if they are within City limits. There are also some other outlying annexed areas of the City where service may not be available. We will only accept the materials listed and they must be prepared according to our guidelines.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. WINDY CONDITIONS MAY TEMPORARILY CLOSE THE DROP OFF. We recommend calling in advance on windy days. In addition, we regularly update our business hours on Google and post updates regarding closures. GJ CRI, in cooperation with the City of Grand Junction, is happy to provide residents with the West Avenue drop off.
Hard-to-recycle materials are those items that typically end up in a landfill (and shouldn't be there!). This is designed for the committed recycler like you who is willing to go that extra mile to recycle everything you can. With efforts like yours, we're keeping more resources out of landfills, preventing toxins from entering our soil and groundwater, and preserving natural resources for generations to come.
This is an entry-level trainee position for Curbside Recycling Indefinitely Inc., a recycling company contracted by the City of Grand Junction. We offer a convenient full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 7 am-3 pm, with one Saturday per month. This is a fast paced and fun position for people who enjoy outdoor, physical work.

Still waiting for an answer to "Do you accept paper board such as cereal boxes?"
Question was sent in a month ago.

It was crowded at the time. Couldn't find the bins for telephone books and magazines. Paper and cardboard bins were at or near capacity. No attendant in sight to mention information to. It was nearing noon when a lot of people have time to leave their collections. Still good to have a place to take the stuff.

As easy as can be. They have well detailed areas where you can drop off specific items to help them sort. Very well organized and very clean. The bins are always available and not overflowing or backed up. Thank you and keep up the great work

I read some very negative reviews prior to ever going here but I've been recycling for a few months now and there is nothing to it! And every time I've had a question on what is/isn't recyclable, they're always very helpful and they thank me for asking.

Easy free drop off for a variety of recyclables. But you do have to pre sort. With their curbside pickup too, not single stream. But their curbside service is very affordable and they have free bags for sorting available at their drop off or you can use your own containers and bags

I live in Parachute and we have a small recycling drop off box located in the small grocery store parking lot. They do not accept a lot of things there including glass. I go to Grand Junction about once a week for shopping and stumbled upon this recycling place. It is amazing! I love that you can just pull up and get all of your recycling done at once. There were also some nice gentlemen helping people unload their recycling. We will definitely be returning.
