It's the first company in Idaho to use an 100% electric and 100% eco-friendly vehicles for public transportation. The two types of vehicles used are Polaris GEMs and Tuk-Tuks which is commonly known as a rickshaw. Tuk-Tuks originated in Thailand and are widely used form of urban transport in Bangkok and other Thai cities.
The name is onomatopoeic, mimicking the sound of a small (often two-cycle) engine. Downtown Boise has overr 490,000 impressions per month which is the main area Star Tuks provides services to the community.
