To offer a warm and friendly, family oriented atmosphere for individuals coming into our establishment seeking assistance with enjoying the fun of riding motorcycles, ATV's, and Side x Sides. Our official "meeter-greeter", Elsa Bear really enjoys having people come into "her" shop, especially if they kick or toss the Acorn, Pine Cone, piece of mulch, empty water bottle, etc.and of course know their way to the "after we play" treat jar!
Working toward breaking the common stereotypes of "outlaw" bikers, our group is simply passionate about motorcycles (and Ice Cream!) and look to do good for our community. We are also advocates for motorcycle safety awareness! Holding weekly, monthly and annual events, we also plan multiple trips every year, so you are bound to be able to attend at least one.

Our Showroom offers you the opportunity to shop for dozens of privately owned vehicles without the need to go to dozens of locations to see them! We check out each vehicle upon arrival so we know what, if anything, it might need to be safely ridden. We advise the current owner of any deficiencies if found so that they can price the vehicle accordingly.

Took my bike in to get an issue with it popping out of first gear looked at. Talked to the mechanic on the phone before he started and explained exactly what was going on. I also told him I had done a lot of research and from the reading I had done it sounded like a shifting pawl issue. Several hours later he called and told me he couldn’t get it to repeat the problem when he was test riding it. He told me he couldn’t look at the pawl because the case has to be split to do that and they don’t have the time to do that during the riding season. I told him in fact the case did not have to be

First time in...great service. Just purchased my first Harley-Davidson and needed a couple of things. Eric got my bike in right away and programmed a fob for me. Ended up buying new grips, too and Eric offered some good advice for me to install them. In-store price was no more than what I would have paid online and the money stays at a local business.

My experience with sleeping bear motor sports started out fine. I am a 165 pound rider on a solo seat road king that I purchased from sleeping bear two seasons ago. it was a used cosigned bike. I took it to sleeping bear this past winter to have them soften the ride. We agreed to change out the front and rear shocks. The bill was over 1,000.00. It was this spring I noticed not only it rode stiffer and harder than before but the SS wind deflectors were installed backwards so they hit the crash bars when bars were turned to there limits. I took pictures to show them how they looked on the bike before

When the starter went out on my Softail, it was looking like I would be stranded 4 hours from home for several days before any repair shop in the area would even look at it. The first place I contacted in Traverse City just gave me a recording saying an oil change is a 2 week wait and then they never even responded to my voicemail message. This was not how things went when I contacted Sleeping Bear Motor Sports. The lady I spoke with listened to my situation and didn't hesitate to put me thru to Eric, the owner, and he assured me they would take a look that day if I could get it towed to them.
