Family law is complex and covers a wide array of topics. Below is a non-exhaustive list of the various services offered by Raleigh Law Center's experienced attorneys. Family Law Litigation: To settle a case through mediation or collaborative divorce, both parties need to be willing to compromise. Not all cases resolve amicably and you can easily end up in high conflict family law litigation.

In order to make the most out of you initial consultation, we need the requested information to evaluate your case and answer any questions that you have. Unlike many initial consultations at other firms, our consultation is comprehensive and action orientated. We need this information to access your cause and provide you with a plan of action.
The obligation of one spouse to support the other for a temporary or permanent basis is decided on a case-by-case basis as agreed by the parties or by the court's order. Many times, parties are able to negotiate and settle support outside of court. An attorney is needed to draft a separation agreement or court order.

My experience with Raleigh Law Center was fantastic. A friend recommended Evonne and I wish I knew about her before retaining the attorney I used for my divorce. I had a consultation with Evonne, brought her up to speed on my situation and felt good knowing she was ready to help when I would likely be needing her. Sure enough, I needed her a few months after. Evonne Hopkins is a horrible lawyer. Charged huge fees, she yelled and cursed alot, and she sat in the courtroom and heard Judge Michael Denning state a racist comment during the court hearing and told me that it was fine he did that. Well it wasn't fine he did that as I fired Evonne, filed a motion myself as a pro se litigant to remove Denning… from my case and it was approved. The news wrote a a story on my case and the inappropriate actions of Judge Michael Denning. Evonne uses curse words alot and bragged about how she is the campaign treasurer to Judge Walczyk. Evonne and team are AMAZING! Especially as a great dad
and my ex created a huge mess of lies. Good guys have the cards stacked against them in our judicial system because of all the horrible dad's out there. Evonne and team leveled the playing ground. Evonne was our Parent Coordinator. She does this work for money. She is sloppy and not really interested in being a neutral third party. She was clearly more interested in financial gain and not in really taking care of families. I wish I could share more from the mediator and other involved in this case that found her work borderline negligent at best.

The divorce process is tough. Not only is it emotionally difficult and physically draining, but the actual legal process itself was simply uncharted territory for me and something I never thought I would have to do. Evonne Hopkins was extremely knowledgeable and skilled and guided me through the entire process and took the time to explain all my options. She was very compassionate and understanding of everything I was going thru and helped ease my mind knowing she was doing everything to look out for my best interests. I was sent to Raleigh Law Center at the recommendation of a friend. My case was exceptionally technical and complicated. Evonne and her staff were very friendly, and helped in any way possible.
