Our founder, Fred Kamp, and his wife, Glee, started Freddy's in 2004. It started as a fish fry house offering fish and chips and chowder. Owning a fish and chips restaurant had been a dream of Fred's. He only expected to catch a little bit of local interest, but soon was busier than he had expected.

It was great to find the restaurant specializing in fish once more. It is sort of an interesting cross between fast food vs complete dinners. We stayed on the fast food side, having clams and scallops. Both servings were generous, and cooked well. Both were very tasty with some taken home.The service was a mite slow but friendly and well presented. We will be returning!

We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the only thing that was good was the chowder. Our shrimp were crispy but not fully cooked, same with the fish that tasted watery as if it had been thawed and refrozen. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this was a disappointment. Sad thing is that it looks like it was one a town jewel.

If you havent been here to eat, you're missing out! The restaurant is nice inside. It has a wharf atmosphere. Such good food today! The clam chowder is delicious. I had the Seafood platter. The halibut was so moist and flaky. My son had the calamari, and said it was really good. My wifey had shrimp alfredo. She said it was very good. The waitress was super chill. She did a great job. We will come back for sure!

Years ago I came here and it was Great. However, I recently visited again with my daughter who loves seafood and I have to say we were a bit disappointed. The place just didn't look clean. There were flies buzzing around everywhere, & I believe this was late October, so I was a little disturbed. Also the prices have increased quite a bit for my taste.

I never really give 5 stars unless it is truly deserved. And by golly the food at this establishment was well worth 5 stars talk about some of the best food I have ever eaten! I had the albacore tuna melt and it was so good. Best mozzarella sticks I have ever had as well as calamari for my fiance. She also had the seafood linguini. Ya the prices are a bit high but its because of how much seafood you are actually getting is a lot. Most places just put a few pieces of seafood here or there but this place makes sure you can taste it in every bite 😋 also great kids menu with awesome pricing and

I went for an early lunch to beat the crowd. Ordered the Rib Eye Steak, cooked perfectly and super tasty. I didn't even need steak sauce. It came with coleslaw, asparagus and a baked potato but I asked for steam veggies instead of potatoe to cut back on carbs. Everything was delicious and the waitress was so nice, friendly and attentive to bringing a 2nd glass of iced tea. Definitely will go back. I noticed they even have a Drive Through Window 👍👍👍
