Opened in 1991, the Surgery Center of Fort Collins was the first multi-specialty outpatient surgery facility and family practice in the area. We are proud to say the Center has since grown to a staff of 49 credentialed surgeons and 42 credentialed anesthesiologists, supported by a full complement of the business office and clinical staff, serving northern Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska.

I definitely do not recommend this place. They were supposed to write me a prescription to take before surgery, but on the "prescription," it said "gave to patient." They did not give me the medicine. The surgery room was occupied the day of my surgery, so my procedure was delayed for 2.5 hours, while I laid alone in a room, bored & starving. This caused a problem for my support person (who was not allowed in the building at all), and was a huge inconvenience. My support person missed the doctor's call (as it was way later than expected), and the doctor did not follow up & speak with her at all

Best chocolate pudding I ever had!
For several years I have been trying to postpone my lumbar surgery, like until I die. I am 63. The pain has become unbearable, I gave up in May. As a self-paying patient, I was also afraid of the costs. Several weeks before the surgery I got a detailed quote of all the costs with hefty discounts. The day of the surgery I was still signing all the papers when nurse came to take me to the back. There I got my “I-see-you” gown, socks and compression cuffs for my shins, just in case. Then a cute anesthesiologist came and explained to me what is about to happen

The surgery experience for my nasal sinus surgery was very good - efficient, smooth, all staff professional, and the surgery for the most part a success.
The rest of this review is a modification/update of a review I posted in early March 2021. What it distills down to is that myself and Surgery Center had some trouble getting ahold of and communicating clearly with each other. There was an important mistake to my bill, which Surgery Center resolved professionally and to my satisfaction.
Following the resolution, my feedback would still be that it would be much appreciated if there was improved

From the second I walked in the door every single person I dealt with was rude some woman walked past me and told me to take a seat like I'm some kind of child or something the lady at the check in desk is literally the rudest person I've dealt with in a while she needs to find herself a new job if she hates hers so much. These people need to learn that some people are going through the hardest times of their life when they come in here

After having the same surgery twice in a hospital, our bills were enormous. When I was told I’d have to have the surgery a third time, my husband and I asked my doctor if there was a more affordable option. He suggested Surgery Center of Fort Collins. Our experience there was wonderful... we had quality and caring nurses, the facility was clean, and the check-in and out process was smooth and quick. Most importantly, we saved thousands - not kidding... thousands of dollars.”

Fast check in time and they even took me for pre op before my scheduled time. Very friendly staff and the nurses were amazing. Felt very comfortable knowing I was having back surgery. After surgery the nurses were very attentive and paid close attention to my situation. Dr Wirt and nurse were amazing also. Great place, thank you for all you did.
