Owned and operated since 2004 by lifelong Louisvillians, we have worked to build an award-winning team of Certified Arborists and Plant Health Care professionals. Limbwalker is the first tree service in Kentucky accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association and we are dedicated to using the most current techniques in our work.

Committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability, we strive to preserve natural resources and reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible. We are proud to have fifteen ISA Certified Arborists(R) on our team, allowing us the expertise of an arborist on every job. This includes two Board Certified Master Arborists(R).
Services
For over ten years, Limbwalker's Certified Arborists have cared for trees and turf throughout the Louisville area. Our employees are highly trained, courteous and professional. We strive to provide safe, environmentally-responsible tree service as well as organic based lawn service. Limbwalker is fully insured and accredited by the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA).
I hired them to take out a limb that fell out and was hanging in our tree. They came out and cut down the limb. It was not a simple job, they had to climb up into the tree to get down. They were very professional and hard working. They gave me a quote, and then a week later sent me my bill and there were no surprise charges.
Mosquito Control begins in April. Your property will be treated once every three weeks on a ZIP code rotation until September. Your Mosquito Tech will text you the day prior to each visit. Lawn Programs begin in mid-February and are treated on a 7 week rotation until November/December. Your Lawn Tech will text you the day prior to each visit.
Limbwalker has built a strong reputation as the leading tree specialist in the Louisville area. But you should know we're just as passionate about growing and nurturing lush, green lawns. We want to be the best lawn care service you have ever experienced. And for all of our many loyal customers, that's just the case.
Specifically designed for big, old trees to slow growth, improve health and protect against harmful insects. Fertilizer and Bio-Tea(R) are delivered directly to the critical root zone in Spring and Fall. Ginkgoes and sweetgums are beautiful but their fruit can often be difficult to tolerate. We can't eliminate the fruit 100%, but we can achieve a significant reduction by injecting a fruit eliminator each year.

Crew did not remove problematic limb during initial visit or after a complementary call back visit. I even flagged the limb in question. Limb was below the agreed upon clearance in contract. A third site visit would have had to involve the owner or additional charge, so to simplify the work, I removed the limb myself. Cable install and other pruning was satisfactory. I will look elsewhere first in the future due to expensive cost for (in my opinion) unsatisfactory work.

The Red Team did a great job cutting our massive tree way way back to a manageable size. They were on time, worked hard, cleaned up the tree, and cleaned up our yard before they left. Great job and no complaints.

Tim S., Tim B, Griff and Daniel of the Green Crew did an amazing job with the tree work on our property. It gave us such a peace of mind right before the storm of last weekend. Their professionalism and communication through the whole day was top notch. It’s a service that’s well worth the cost because their level of skill is unmatchable. After they were finished you wouldn’t have known anyone was there because they picked up every single branch and piece of debris

Those guys are terrific. Knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly , our crew of Alex, Ryan and Forrest did exactly what they were supposed to, and quite a bit more. The trees now look great, and we’re very satisfied.

We contracted Limbwalker Tree Service to trim and treat our beautiful Kentucky Yellowwood tree and to trim large branches from other trees which were touching our roof. 5 stars to LWTS for having the best employees we’ve had the pleasure of working with in years. They put us at ease with their knowledge and recommendations. They are on time every time and communicate at each step to make sure we have no questions or concerns. Tracy and Jeremy from the Red Bees team were extremely professional and courteous. They even saved a Cecropia moth, which had just emerged from its cocoon in our side yard

My wife and I had seen the Limbwalker logo around town over the years and always heard good things through our local business grapevine. We try to always opt for local when it makes sense. As our family grew, we were outgrew our Highlands shotgun. We landed over off Zorn and alas our bigger yard came with bigger trees...... We requested service for the massive tree that shades our entire yard. AKA "the pine cone tree" if you ask my three year old. The overall experience was personal while maintaining a timely and professional manner.
Limbwalker exceeded our expectations and we will

I have an oak tree I was concerned about. Stephan Zimmerman, arborist, came out and examined it. Diagnosed the condition and recommended a course of action. He is thorough and knowledgeable and approaches the problem from "what is best for the tree". This approach is greatly appreciated. The visit/consultation was accomplished at no charge. I have used other tree services, who have tried to sell me unnecessary treatments for the trees on my property. If you want a concerned environmentally concerned tree service, Limbwalker is the one.

Limbwalker is great company. They are reliable, respectable and very knowledgeable. I hired them to trim our redbud a few years ago and had them come back this year when a snowstorm damaged it. I was worried that the tree would have to be cut down, but they were able to trim off the storm damaged part and there are new shoots growing where they trimmed it and the tree is thriving. We use their mosquito service in the warm, buggy months and it works great! We can actually sit outside and enjoy our back patio now.

Limbwalkers charged me $1200 to trim a huge tree to prevent it from endangering my family. A few months later a huge branch fell and crushed our fence. I understand that you can't prevent everything, but they quoted me $1200 to remove the branch that fell! I did it myself in 4 hours with a chainsaw with no previous experience. When I questioned them about the price they said it is the cost of putting me first in line, when i asked how much it would be to not be first the price was $800. So then i asked how long it would take and they replied that it would be 2 days!!! What a scam! They were

Needed two trees removed from my front yard. Called these guys and they came and gave me a quote the next day. Remove two trees and grind stumps. When I came home from work my yard looked totally different. They did a great job including cleaning up. You could hardly tell there had been two trees there. Price was very reasonable too. Thanks Gary!!
