Services
So, you are wondering how we got wrapped up in the whole bbq scene with a name like Ranucci's? Well, we love to cook, everyone knows Italians love to cook! And when Alex relocated from upstate New York (Binghamton) it was just natural that the local cuisine would begin to influence his cooking. He began experimenting with ribs and then perfecting his sauce until whallah - we knew we were on to something!
Alex Ranucci has been at it since 2005 offering personal catering expience, including restaurant ownership from 2011-2013 and operation/ownership of a food truck 2014-2017! Not to mention several grand championships with his team Ranucci's Big Butt BBQ. Full Service Barbecue Catering includes buffet set up, table cloths, and clean up of the service area.
Award winning, down-home southern BBQ. Hand-selected pork butts are rubbed with Ranucci's "Not Yet Famous" Big Butt original spice rub and then slow smoked in a wood-burning smoker for 12 to 14 hours until they fall apart. The BBQ is then pulled and served on a soft roll with Ranucci's "Not Yet Famous" Big Butt BBQ sauce.

Our award-winning pork is dry-rubbed, injected and smoked for over 12 hours with hickory and apple woods. Hand-pulled and served on a soft roll. We like to call this the Trifecta of pork. Smoked ham topped with pepper jack cheese topped with pulled pork and finished with crispy bacon on a soft roll.

Ranucci's catered an event for 14 at our home, and we were VERY pleased with both the service and the quality of the food. The delivery was on time, and they set up the buffet neatly and provided everything necessary for our guests; forks, plates, napkins, hot food over sterno, etc. We chose brisket and pulled pork; the brisket was a nice mix of fatty and lean, and the pulled pork was moist but not greasy-- both were delicious, with an authentic smoke flavor that wasn't overwhelming. They provided three sauces, original, hot, and vinegar, all of which were great. I was especially pleased

I visited their food truck to see if their food was better or worse than their catering. And nothing has changed! Great service, great food, and great people. I got their Texas Reuben since we had their pulled pork and chicken at our wedding. The Brisket was delicious, and the jalapeño slaw had a little bit of heat but the slaw definitely keeps it cool. The fries were delicious too. They were made fresh and seasoned just right (not too salty). Definite recommend. They will be at food truck Friday on April 3rd, so be sure to visit them!
