Willowbrook Memory Support Residences are designed to provide care and support of our residents while promoting dignity and independence. At Willowbrook we can accommodate 12-14 residents in each house, in private suites arranged to meet the needs of those we serve. We are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health to provide our specialized services in an assisted living atmosphere.
While the disease is common, dementia and Alzheimer's affects each individual differently. Depending on the type and progression of these diseases, loved ones may be OK living at home or require assistance. As the disease progresses, those needs may change. To help aid your research, we identified the following resources as helpful for those families struggling with tough decisions.
We know that persons affected by dementia have specific needs that must be met to attain well being. We work to meet the individual needs because no two people are the same. Those needs, along with the needs of the family, are our focus. Often families struggle with caring for loved ones affected by the disease.
We have two care categories at Willowbrook Memory Support Residences. These categories are based on the type of services that best fit the resident's needs. The two types of categories are supportive and supervisory. Prior to making admission, a prospective new resident will be visited by one our clinical staff members to review care needs, current medications, and to just simply get antiquated with our new friend and family.
