I am Amy Leist, a lifestyle portrait and wedding photographer based in the spectacular Eastern Sierra. In my previous life, I worked as a wildlife biologist and spent my time in the field photographing wildlife and landscapes in Hawaii, Alaska, Idaho, and Chile to name a few. When I settled down a bit and moved to the great basin in 2006, my focus shifted to photos of people as my friends began to get married and start families.
Since moving to Bishop, CA in 2013, I have fallen in love with this beautiful landscape I now call home. My currently passion is photographing individuals and families enjoying the incredible eastern sierra. As a mother of two, and a human being, I delight in being witness to the love and connection expressed between people in extraordinary as well as ordinary times of life.

Weddings are events we remember for a lifetime, and photos can capture moments on your wedding day to preserve beauty and relive memories for years to come. I want to get to know each client beforehand to learn what is most important to photograph on their wedding day.
I strive to take creative and traditional photos of the bride and groom and their families as well as candid photos of the wedding guests while preparing for and celebrating after the ceremony.When requested, I photograph all the details of the day including rings, dress, flowers, and other personal touches.

Being straight up amy is just the best!!
I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!! Her communication, straightforwardness, and expertise can't be beat!
Oct -10-20 heavy smoke from the creek fire plague the eastern Sierras at this time of me writing this review!!
Amy went way above and beyond to not only make our date work ( in Wich all photographers we're booked)
But she worked with us with local smoke reports and went with us to view multiple locations prior to our wedding so that way we were prepared in case the wind shifted the smoke.

Amy goes above and beyond as a photographer. She photographed my wedding and I couldn't have asked for more, she's amazing. She will immediately put you at ease with her easy-going personality. Amy not only took wonderful photos that we will be excited to have on our walls for decades to come, but made us feel comfortable the whole time during the photo session. I generally hate having my photo taken, so that's already a hurdle, but with Amy I didn't even think about the camera. She also worked so well with our 15-month old, helping him warm up and helping us find the best natural angles and poses. I would highly recommend Amy for her vision, skill, and ability to put her clients at ease. Her photos are gorgeous and she was in constant communication regarding the editing process. Amy
