Buddy Isles Sr. started Buddy's Speed World on Main Street. He took a few years off to serve our country in the Army 82nd Airborne. WIth the support of the community and a $3000 loan from BB&T, he grew his business. When he returned in 1974, he leased a larger shop space just outside of Littleton on 158E and named it Buddy Isles Automotive.
Although I have been a part of this business my entire life, ownership was passed down to me by my father in 2017. As a high school graduate and certified fabrication & welder, previously employed by NASCAR, this is truly where I am meant to be. So far, my biggest accomplishment is purchasing the new facility as the first step in the right direction to making my dreams a reality.
While business will continue in its current location at 218 E North Main St, Littleton, NC 27850 throughout September, a new location is soon to come! For those of you that may not be familiar with our new owners, please take this opportunity to learn a bit about them. Buddy Isles Jr. was born and raised in Littleton, but left for a brief period of time in 2015 to continue his career with a NASCAR team out of Ohio.
One of the most dreaded experiences a woman can face is to be stranded on the side of a busy road with a flat - in my case, a shredded - tire. Luckily, I had cellphone coverage and was able to contact my husband, who immediately called Buddy Isles to assist me in getting the tire changed. My savior in a mechanic's uniform arrived promptly, reassured me, and got down to business.
Warm weather or cold, you still need to think about our vehicle's air conditioning. Most people don't service their air conditioning until after it fails. Vehicle manufacturers have preventive maintenance schedules for air conditioning service, just as they do for transmission service, oil changes and so on.

Great people and service. They worked me in when they were obviously busy enough that they did not have to do me any favors. Cost a little more than I wanted it too but in the end I think it was a fair price. I certainly was not willing to do it myself for the price so I can’t complain. They even gave me a loaner when it took longer than they thought it would.

Took my 2015 Subaru in for it's 6 month maintenance. Just moved to the area, so my first time there. Large, spacious waiting room, felt comfortable being 6' away from others. Reasonable price, good service. I'll go back for my next 6 month service.

I worked with your lady to assist with getting a uhaul to get my vehicle towed to the nearest dealership but after speaking with Justin about everything he seemed very knowledgeable so I took the chance of having my car serviced here and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Everyone was very professional and empathetic to my situation since I was visiting for the holidays and only had to get home ASAP. They kept me updated with text messages and phone calls. I even got to personally speak with the tech who did the work and was able to ask Addison all questions. This is the place to go

The first thing I want to say is that if you are at Lake Gaston on vacation and you have any automotive issues, I could not recommend them more. We arrived at our lake house and had a brake line rupture as we were pulling up. As you can imagine, this was unforeseen and we were fortunate that it didn't occur while we were towing our boat down the interstate. My elderly mother has an older model car that we keep to use for her appointments and errands because she cannot get in my SUV. BIA has been very good about keeping it running for her. They have a computer program that sends me an email after the technicians access the car. The email tells what was found, the costs and the ability to accept or deny the work. No surprise costs. We have always been very satisfied with their work. The employees are very friendly. Buddy, his family and crew are very community minded and are always giving back. I had my car towed to Buddy's and I have to say from start to finish I was informed about everything that was wrong with my car from how long it would take to get the part needed til how long it would take to finish. I am mostly impressed by the customer service even after my car has been fixed.
For these folks to take time out of their day to call and text me asking how is my vehicle doing goes a long way. Now I live in Durham but was visiting family at the time when my vehicle broke down, but I will like to say I will be bring my vehicles back to Mr. Buddy Isles to have his team take care of

My tire light came on my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek so I stopped at Isles' to get air. I told the attendant I took 33 in the front and 32 in the back tires. He proceeded to put air in all four tires. He said there was no charge for the air, but I gave him a $5 tip for helping me. About five miles down the road my tire light came back on and I immediately stopped at a station in Roanoke Rapids. The attendant there was shocked when he discovered all four tires had 100 lbs of air in them. I can't say enough about Buddy and his shop. My fuel pump died while driving to my parents in SC. We got him through Progressive. He got us at 5am, dropped is at a good hotel and took the truck to his shop.
He found the trouble pretty quickly, order the part and had the truck fixed by 2 o'clock in the afternoon, getting us back on the road. Very honest, he took time away from his family on Christmas eve day to get us rolling again.
