Western medicine seeks to suppress the symptoms of ailments. Chinese medicine takes a different approach, focusing instead on the underlying root causes of the ailment, to correct and prevent future health problems. The goal of Chinese medicine is to bring the body into energetic balance. Encompassing five holistic modalities (acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutrition, lifestyle, and bodywork), it harmonizes the body naturally.
Dana Henry, a nationally licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Herbology, with over 15 years of experience offers all of the traditional Eastern holistic modalities to help her patients achieve maximum health and energetic balance. Her motto is Eat, Sleep, Move, Connect. Each patient receives an individual treatment and herbal prescription based on an extensive personal intake.

The needles are very small and fine and are not used to draw blood. There is very little to no pain. What is felt is a dull sensation which is the qi being activated in your body. It is nothing compared to the pain and discomfort of your ailment that you live with on a daily basis. Not at all. Acupuncture needles can't spread disease.

My back went kaput doing Thanksgiving and Dana got me in the next day. Not only did her acupuncture provide some needed relief, but her advice on stretches to do (and avoid) was instrumental in a quick turnaround. Now I continue to see her for all of my other maintenance issues. I gave her 4 out of 5 because I just wish I could spend more time with the needles in, but realize that's a challenge with scheduling.
