The funeral establishment that eventually became Ricker Funeral Homes was established in 1876 by Ed S. Durant. The business was later purchased by Charles E. Marston in 1896; Mr. Marston died at age 70 in May of 1922. Charles' son Carroll T. Marston ran the firm until his passing at age 41 in February of 1923.
We at Ricker Funeral Homes proudly own and operate our own on-site crematory. Our professional staff supervises all cremations, so you can be confident that all services are handled with dignity and respect. By managing our own crematory, we can fully serve your every need. Cremation is a process of preparing the body for final disposition that is as old as history itself, and as modern as today.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Writing this using our family email: God Bless David and all of his staff at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon. Dave had worked with us when my father passed in 2015, and because of his caring, compassion, kindness and ethical behaviour, during that time in our lives, we knew without question that we would use his services again when my mom passed. I had my mom home with me in Hospice care for three months, and when she passed last month, Dave came to pick her up. He did so with so much care and respect to our needs. The entire process after that went smoothly and all pricing was presented to show
