We recently used Mkm moving to our new townhome. The reason we first decided to use them is not only due to lower hourly rate, but also because they are one of the few companies that agree to tow away my unwanted tv stand for a small charge.
However, both my husband and I were very disappointed and intimidated at the end:
1. They demanded higher tips then what we wanted to give them. We originally tipped them 15% of the total cost, the Chinese-speaking young mover threatened us, and said "do you know I could have moved slower and dragged your total moving time? This tip is too little!"

This is the worst moving company ever! How could I not Yelp first before I called them! I used Yelp all the time and just this one time I didn't use it and it turned out to be a disaster! STAY AWAY! They charge 50 per hour for people but only one person came! He was very very rude and complained about everything after he arrived. He was here 45 mins late yet he was very arrogant and acted as if he was the boss. So I said okay I'm gonna give you extra 50 dollars, would you do it or not? Then he just started working and trying to be nice to me. I was like what the hell! Just extra 50 dollars

2 words: STAY AWAY. I used these movers for a 1 bedroom apartment from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. They loaded my boxes into a storage unit, and I stupidly did not mark off all the box numbers as they loaded them. At that time, I noticed that they left behind the expansion leaf to my kitchen table, but there was nothing to be done, that leaf was still in Santa Barbara. Almost a year later, "Lisa" (she said she was the owner and manager of MKM) contacted me about a large box of mine that they had in their warehouse - it contained a few pictures and all my diplomas - college, grad

I have a terrible experience with this moving company. I got 2 chinese movers, they were giving me attitude since I met them at the door. All they know is banging your furniture to the wall, door frames, and wood floors. Now my old places has scratches on the wall, dents on the wood floor. The new place have scratched door, and wall dents. It's a complete disaster. AVOID

I will give it a zero if it's possible. The movers are very rude. When I ask them to help me to move the boxes into my room, they keep complaining. They refuse to help me and told me it's not their job, I should ask my boyfriend to do it. Very weird!!! I paid them 3 hours, and after one hour they said they need to leave for another job. Terrible service!!!

Like the other reviews, I wish I had Yelped them first. They were terrible! I had less than 10 items for them to move. First, they were late and then refused to move some items because they said it was too heavy for 2 people and that I needed 4 movers. They also tried to charge me 3 hours minimum when the lady over the phone said I could do 2. The movers said that's not their problem and take it up with the company. They left destination 1 way before me and got to destination 2 way after me (probably to prolong moving time since the move was actually only maybe 1.5 hours at most). Upon arrival
