At People House, we believe the first step to becoming the best that we can be is to accept our total self as we are now and the experience of life as an opportunity for growth. By teaching and practicing compassion and accepting each individual for who and what they are in the here and now, it enables us to create love, joy, peace, and fulfillment in our life experience.
We offer programs that advocate for living a life of conscious awareness and responsibility, while acknowledging that we are each constantly progressing along a unique path where we will all need some help somewhere along the way. We offer affordable, holistic counseling to those who might otherwise be unable to experience the transformative power and support of professional counseling.

Services
The early purpose of People House was a simple idea: give people a place to connect meaningfully with each other. From its earliest days People House was intended to build and foster strong, loving communities.
The primary action of that intention was to offer holistic education, rooted in an approach that ".truth lies within, " and each individual is capable of becoming aware of their truth through a natural unfolding of creative abilities when supported by a loving community.

Our philosophy of care revolves around our recognition of the mind, body, spirit connection. At People House, we believe in a few simple guidelines that help us increase our experience of Love and Healing. These are suggestions, not requirements. We encourage the investigation and consideration of all beliefs.

I got to go for my first time with my therapist before all this stuff went down. It's a cute little house with parking in the back. There is a ramp entrance into the waiting area if you enter from the back lot (only street parking out front). I love that they have made it so homely! They have actual cups to use for coffee and the restroom has individual towels to dry your hands off... that way you aren't using a dirty towel to dry them with! When I was here there was the cutest dog! So cute and lovable!

People House offers a unique approach to counseling by offering sliding scale fees, basically prices are based upon your income. The services are provided by graduate students looking for hands on experience in their field of study.
I was assigned to Alicia Hubbell and I was very pleased with her professional demeanor, gentle compassion and helpful suggestions and strategies.
It seems to me that everyone would need counseling services from time to time as life doles out lemons and challenges. If this is where you find yourself now, then you should consider People House. Check out their helpful

Income based counseling provided by Grad students. Thanks to this incredible place holding space for anyone and everyone that needs it they have helped me and so many people I have referred there. The man who started it is an angel, and so are all the people who keep it going. Mental health is so very important. Take care of yourself.

Let's just say, if it wasn't for People House, I would've lost both the creative and sane regions of my mind by now.
It offers affordable counseling, creative workshops, spiritual meditation circles and Sunday spiritual services (for all faiths and backgrounds...yes, even if you're an atheist looking to meditate without the preaching).
Not to mention a hot cup of tea* everytime you're there. It's really like visiting someone's home for a heartfelt conversation or an afternoon of artsy endeavors.
If there's one gem hidden in Denver, this is it. So put
