Design Works is owned by Januari Works, a licensed professional interior designer with over 30 years of active design practice all over the US. Januari is a member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and is an allied member of the American Society of Architects (AIA). We are committed to creating environments of enduring value and beauty.
We're listening and responding to you. The design concept phase allows us to understand our client's goals and to present the visual aids needed to achieve the desired result. We create and provide the necessary drawings, layouts, and elevations to ensure the right outcome and minimalize the potential for error in construction.
There are significant benefits to adapting your home to be more accessible, easy-to-use and safer as you and/or family members age. Bathrooms are generally a major area of safety concern. Unobstructed shower walls, easy to read and use water fixtures, safety grips, anti-slip surfaces, built-in shower seats are all important aspects Design Works will consider in a remodel or new home design.
Traditional homes are inviting, comfortable and classic. Earmarks of our traditional rooms might include carved moldings, fine millwork, and fine hand crafted custom furniture. Lavish use of luxury textiles and art enhance an atmosphere of comfort and tranquility. Design Works traditional interiors are masterful.
Both generally include an artistic mix of contemporary, antique or traditional style(s) in a new or innovative way. In interior design it can mean that the same room may have Granny's inherited chest next to your favorite minimalist objects.
