MXI is a family business. My father started Maumee Express Inc, a local drayage company operating in the New York commercial zone in 1960. That company evolved from humble beginnings into a prospering over-the-road success. I assumed control of the business after my father passed in 1984 and continued to grow the business.

MXI is the premiere service provider for household hazardous waste collection events sponsored by states, counties, and municipalities. We have conducted over 1,000 successful one day events and operated 5 permanent facilities over the last 10 years. In 2019 we conducted over 350 events and processed 10 million pounds of household hazardous waste.
