Aroostook Savings & Loan
Since 1936, we have been dedicated to serving the people of Aroostook County and our members, who own our mutual Association. The decision to start the mutual savings association was easy at the time. During the depression, people were having a hard time to acquire the financing they needed to buy or build a home.

We opened our doors in Caribou as Aroostook County Federal Savings & Loan Association and since that time we have been committed to the mission of helping our people in the communities we serve. Aroostook Savings & Loan provides credit and safeguards your deposits in both the best of times and the most challenging times.
Services
You have the ability to issue a limit of 6 transactions monthly to a third party. Deposits and withdrawals made by you within the bank or at an ATM are unlimited! Absolutely no service charge if a balance of $1,000 or more is maintained. If the account balance falls below $1,000 a small monthly service charge of $6 is applied.
Whether you're just starting out, raising a family, or approaching retirement, IRAs offer tremendous advantages. An Individual Retirement Account (IRA) is a federally tax-sheltered retirement savings plan that allows you to make contributions to your own personal retirement fund. You should consult your tax advisor regarding the the tax-saving possibilities and deductibility of your contributions.
With a wide range of terms ranging from 91 days to 60 months and competitive interest rates, CDs are safe and convenient, and earn a higher interest rate than a basic savings account. We grow your money faster by compounding interest continuously. Many other financial institutions compound monthly, quarterly, or even annually.
Interest is compounded continuously and updated APY assumes funds will remain on deposit until certificate maturity. A penalty may be imposed for early withdrawal on all certificates of deposit. Certificate rates are subject to change each week. Once established, an account maintains the initial rate of interest until certificate maturity, unless otherwise specified.
If you would like to learn more about us, or if you need more information about our products and services, we'll be happy to send you more information. Please call one of the phone numbers below and we will be happy to send you everything you need. You may also visit us at our two convenient branch locations in Caribou or Presque Isle.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I have had -0- dollars in my account for several months - this during a time when I was pursuing SSI disability - a process that took 2 years to complete.
No big deal - not their fault I was broke - then -
I was finally approved for SSI disability and received my first payment on December 31st for 514.
After being broke for half a year - that is a huge deal. I started noticing over the last couple days though, that money was disappearing from my account.
Turns out that in the last several months, PayPal attempted to charge my account 4.08 on seven occasions. Each
