Eyeglasses are a timeless approach to vision correction. Their ease of wear and variety of styles make eyeglasses an attractive option for many. Typically used for vision correction, glasses come in many types and are classified by their primary function such as correcting refractive errors, magnification, sun protection and safety.
The human visual system is an amazing network of anatomical structures. Even minor changes in the structure or function of a component of the eye can significantly affect visual acuity. Because we rely so heavily on our visual system to receive and process information, it is essential to keep the eyes functioning properly.
As we age, our eyes-like the rest of our bodies-begin to lose flexibility and strength. When this happens to the lens of the eye and its surrounding muscles, your lens will become stiff. This makes it harder to see close objects clearly because the eyes can't focus properly. Glaucoma is the second leading cause of blindness in the United States, making it an important public health priority.
If you suffer from Bell's palsy, a paralysis of one side of the face caused by nerve inflammation, you may lose control over your eyelids. This eyelid paralysis can create problems for the sensitive cornea that protects the eye's lens and helps focus light waves into clear images. Stinging, irritated eyes, and blurred vision may indicate nothing more than a case of blepharitis -- an unpleasant but, in most cases, relatively harmless condition.

My 6 year old was having a hard time seeing and she asked me to take her to see the eye doctor as she says. She was super nervous to be seen and as soon as Anna Helmers walked in she interacted with my daughter so well and made her feel very comfortable. She was great and I highly recommend her. All their staff was very nice and helpful.

Anna was amazing!!! I have been struggling with my eye sight for 3 years now and was seeing a different eye doctor, I seen Anna and she had it figured out in 5 minutes that my problems are probably more from dry eye then anything else. She was very professional and I felt like she really had my best interest in mind!
