Michael Norris established Deep River Wellness Center in 1999 to bring the best of Eastern medical traditions to Knoxville. Since 1999, Michael Norris has been specializing in acupuncture at Deep River Wellness Center in Knoxville. All new patients begin with a thorough examination by the practitioner. For more than 3,000 years, Chinese herbal medicine has been used to provide therapy for a variety of ailments. Here in Knoxville at Deep River Wellness Center, we combine medicinal herbs with acupuncture and nutrition counseling to provide our patients with a holistic form of care. I came to Michael 4 1/2 months ago in terrible mental shape from a physical issue that was wearing me down. Michael turned me completely around in 2 months and things have continued to get better and better with each passing month. Since my physical health is better, my mental health is better too! Michael not only treats the body, but he is also very helpful with information to help all aspects of life! His front office staff is super friendly and helpful too! My mother also sees Michael and couldn't feel her feet due to neuropathy. Now she can feel her feet and feels better physically all around

Updated! Great place. Has helped big time with my shoulder pain..was getting ready to have surgery. I'm glad I gave them a shot no surgery for now at least! Place and people are very nice and inviting :) UPDATE initially I really like the vibe of this place. Unfortunately me being a small business owner as well my schedule can be quite chaotic and I do understand being charged for missed appointments what I don't understand is not even giving me the opportunity to get by to pay them and calling me on the phone to harass me to pay them over the phone. They made the comment of they don't understand

On September 20, 2018 I entered Deep River Wellness Center for the first time. I had significant sciatica and piriformis syndrome issues. Today I am almost totally pain free, pretty great for a 76 year old man. Michael Norris is knowledgeable, helpful and encouraging. His combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine has worked wonders for me and he has my highest recommendation. BTW, I had seen an orthopedic doctor and 2 chiropractors, all good people, but who were not able help me. It was a God send that someone recommended acupuncture and Michael Norris. ABSOLUTELY amazing! I have been seeing Michael Norris at Deep River Wellness for 1 year and the transformation is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was having issues with my heart as in constant palpitations and irregular heartbeats and they were exhausting. Michael has always been very courteous and understanding of my range of anxiety issues, even though I'm not good about doing what he recommends! His acupuncture and herbal combination is powerful and I would highly recommend Deep River to anyone.
My friend suffers from anxiety, as well as a range of gastrointestinal issues, and after a month on Michael's diet and herbal plan, she was feeling 20 years younger! Amazing turnaround!
