Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery
In 1982 the Russell Family purchased the historic "Long Acre Farm." Following a family discussion, a stewardship statement was drafted. At the heart of this statement is the Russell Family's belief that they are stewards of both land and possessions; that these are not truly owned, but rather are temporarily gifted and to be used in a fashion honoring those who came before and those who follow afterward.

The family declared they would use this South Coast farmland both for agricultural products (including food, wine and beer) and for education (about the value of working natural resources). The Russell's founded both Buzzards Bay Brewing and Westport Rivers Winery upon this deep regard for local agriculture and education.
Services
We have a variety of our spectacular Methode Champenoise sparkling wine, our fabulous table wine and our mouthwatering aperitif wine to try. Visit us 6 days a week here at the winery or shop our online store 24/7. Private Tour & Tasting on Saturdays are scheduled by calling our Company Store 508-636-3423 extension 2 during regular business hours.
Our farm is the home of the fourth generation of a family of winegrowers. In 1982 we set ourselves up on the sunny, South Coast of Massachusetts. Why? Because we knew, based upon a study of the climate and soils, that this is a wonderful location for growing the kind of wine we love: gloriously aromatic, deliciously crisp wine.
There are few pleasures in life that are as simple and satisfying as a meal with friends or family. We often send recipes with our Wine Club shipments in hopes that pairing our wine with locally accented dishes will bring additional joy to this table. Here is a sampling of our favorites. 1 1/2 pounds honeydew melon, rind removed and melon cut into 1/4-inch dice (should yield about 2 1/2 cups).
We are passionate about our farm; and we are passionate about the soil and sunlight that join together in our ripening grapes. Our great unexplored territory, Massachusetts' grown wine, is a blank canvas begging for exploration and creativity. Just how does Massachusetts grown chardonnay taste? What aromatics evolve in the tank and barrel?
By joining our wine club you will receive 4 bottles of wine selected by the winemaker three times a year. You will receive 25% off those bottles and ALL purchases made in the store or online. You will also be invited to exclusive events, have first "dibs" on Sunset Music tickets etc. To join call the store on 508-636-3423 extension 2 and a staff member will assist.

What a lovely place to spend an afternoon :-). Quiet and cozy. Lots of tables and adirondack chairs looking over the vineyards. The Five Dogs and Marquette wines were our favorite!

A MUST DRINK IN THE NE WINE WORLD. The brut and sparkling rose are astonishing for the price. The location is adorable fall, northeast farm. If I could give this place 10/5. I would!

A beautiful outdoor space and great wine! The white and red fizz and the frose we're standouts. A perfect place for a birthday, bachelorette, date day, or a chill hang!

Had the most pleasant experience at Westport Vineyards! We knew the tasting room wasn’t available due to Covid, however, Genevieve graciously opened the door and immediately made us feel welcome. Her descriptions of the wines and their backgrounds were informative and almost story like. We each were able to enjoy a glass of our choice outside, overlooking the vineyards, and the wines we chose did NOT disappoint! Highly recommend this 30 year old family vineyard and their excellent wine!

Even during covid it felt very relaxing and lively. No need for reservations, walked in, ordered food and it a great sandwich, had 3 drinks, one of them an apple cider with alcohol and whipped cream caramel...so good

Wines are very good... but it’s really about the atmosphere and scenery. Just pure New England gorgeous. Did I mention the wines are very good. Because they are. Craft beer as well. Grab a glass, grab a couple of Adirondack chairs and sit under the overhanging branches of the amazing trees that overlook the vineyards and just enjoy.

Great family owned vineyard. Good wine and good times. I suggest getting a membership and enjoying all they have to offer. Friday night concerts in the summer are a great way to kick back.
