Loadmaster Trailer Co. Ltd., located in beautiful Port Clinton, Ohio is a family owned and operated manufacturing business specializing in custom boat trailers. Gary and Diane Straw purchased the company in August of 1997. Within the first year of the Straw's ownership they were able to double trailer sales while increasing the strength and customization of each trailer.

All sailboats are diverse and unique, and for that very reason it is imperative that your boat trailer fits your vessel's hull and keel exactly. Whether your keel is a swing, bulb, full, fixed, fin, shoal, wing or retractable, your custom sailboat trailer will be designed to effectively support and protect the keel.
Loadmaster Trailer Company LTD constructs custom-designed boat trailers to fit even the largest of saltwater boats. Unlike other companies that use pre-galvanized parts, our trailer frames are all fabbed and mig-welded in house while all parts are custom fabricated to order. The frame and parts are then sent to a hot dip tank to be hot dip galvanized after being welded.

I had a couple of small issues since purchasing the trailer a couple years ago and they have dealt with both with little fuss / bother. Gary and team were great to work with. We had the challenge of measuring a boat that was 1k miles away, an a typical hull shape and a PIA customer (me). When we put the boat on the trailer, it fit like a glove. The trailer was rock solid on the 1k mile road trip home. I had a product defect happen a few weeks after getting home, and Gary took on all the problems with the manufacturer and made my life way easier. I'd highly recommend you work with Gary and his team.

I purchased a 2008 used Loadmaster Trailer in 2021 from a private party who bought it knew from loadmaster, because of the quality it still looks like new, even though it was stored out side. The previous owner was missing some important documents that I needed. With the approval of the previous owner, Megan and her team at Loadmaster where extremely helpful in getting the documents I needed.
