LA Orthopaedic Specialists
LA Orthopaedic Specialists in Downtown Los Angeles, California, is an orthopaedic surgery practice with board-certified doctors and highly experienced physician assistants on staff. The practice provides a patient-first treatment philosophy, offering customized treatments and individualized care for each patient with providers that specialize in various needs to ensure every patient has the most qualified doctor to treat their medical situation.

Dealing with insurance companies and preparing for surgery is stressful, so the trained and compassionate staff assists patients every step of the way. Doctors and office staff ensure each patient understands their diagnosis and treatment options, and also help manage the coordination of physical therapy services and insurance paperwork.
Services
LA Orthopaedic Specialists (LAOS) is dedicated to providing the highest level of orthopaedic care to all of our patients with compassion and dignity in a timely and efficient manner. The physicians at LAOS are fellowship-trained and welcome complex and problem fracture referrals from other orthopaedic surgeons.
Most fractures treated by Orthopaedic surgeons may be managed with a period of immobilization in a cast followed by gradual progression of range of motion and function. Still others are best managed with surgical intervention. Each fracture is different. Some fractures such as radial head fractures often do not require a cast while others such as tibial plafond fractures often require surgical treatment.
Degenerative osteoarthritis (OA) of the hip, knee and shoulder are becoming increasingly more common as the general population ages. Treatment of OA generally starts with anti-inflammatory medication, activity modification and injection of corticosteroids or polymer agents to relieve symptoms and delay surgery if possible.
The most common workplace injuries are lower back strains, hand injuries, lacerations and slip and fall type injuries. These can occur in the actual workplace or at a work related function such as a company picnic. The crucial factor is that there must be an identifiable injury which resulted in a disability (time away from work because of the injury and limited capacity to do your job).
Every year, around 300,000 hip replacement surgeries occur in the United States. If you need a hip replacement, contact Brian Solberg, MD, at LA Orthopaedic Specialists in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Dr. Solberg not only performs hip replacement but also offers hip replacement revisions. Call LA Orthopaedic Specialists or schedule a consultation online today to learn about your surgery options.

Only issue, if you will, is that the office had moved but there was no notice of this in the lobby, reminder phone call or on any correspondence sent.

Excellent doctor. Looking forward to referring other that need hand treatment. Was precise on analyzing and calling out damage to my tendons, more than the urgent care facility I attended. With much respect your expertise surpassed my expectations.

This was my first time at LA Orthopedic Specialist (new patient). I have to say i was very impressed from the beginning the lobby was very spacious and bright. The staff was kind, friendly, polite and most importantly very professional. When I meet with Dr. Solberg in the exam room he came in an introduced himself and proceeded to consult me on the issue I was there for Osteoarthritis of my right hip, he examined me and after advised me of my options of what to do. All the while being professional. I was very pleased with my visit and would recommend this office to others.

I have seen Reginal Alexander several times at LA orthopedic specialists. He is very knowledgeable, very thorough, and completely focused on my shoulders each time I come in. He's never distracted, short of energy, overworked, or distant. He is completely present as if I'm his only patient.

I've been experiencing some pretty significant shoulder pain and he is very sensitive to each working part. He has given me MRIs, and been extremely thorough about suggesting range of movement, rehabilitative therapy, etc.I've been experiencing some pretty significant pain lately and today

My 78 year old blind mother had an appointment today and it will be her last. The doctor was rude, mean and totally unprofessional. My mom has fallen twice and had x-ray done, the results showed osteoporosis arthritis. The doctor said it was nothing, even though the poor woman can barely walk because of the pain. I am definitely getting a second opinion but not a this clinic.

I haven't anything but t great things to say about Dr. Reginald Alexander, MD. He is extremely professional, personable and caring. From initial to my last, visit I have felt nothing but welcomed in every aspect of this voyage.
I was here to get a distal bicep repair, which I am extremely happy with the results. his whole medical staff has made this injury easier to cope with. From the receptionist to Abby getting your paperwork out to Rigo setting you on a room, I couldn't be happier .
So if you're looking for great medical care and great service, look no further this is your Physician

This doctors office is terrible. I made an appointment few weeks ago. On appointment date, they made me to wait 2hours without any excuse. The lady on office only said that we will call you soon. They don't consider patient time at all. I don't care about how good these doctors unless they know how to manage patients' appointment and time manner. I even observed few vender sales persons went in office during my waiting time.
This is the worst experience ever !!

Dr Matt N. is a good knowledgeable doctor with relatively good bedside manners. Orthopedic surgeons have a general reputation for being pompous and rough but my experience here was positive. Couple of areas of the office can use some remodeling for better aesthetics.

Dr. Rick Zayed seemed like he did not care about my well being. He cleared me to play College Soccer on a fully torn ACL and Medial and lateral meniscus tear. He said "you're fine, you don't need your ACL". This left me a bit confused. I knew he had no idea what he was talking about so I got a second opinion anyway and the doctor knew I needed surgery as soon as possible and did not clear me to play college ball. Dr.Zayed seemed like he did not want to inform me on anything and just wanted me in and out of there. I had several questions to ask and he cut me off short. He only

If I could give 6 STARS for Dr. Matthew Nalamlieng, I would do it in a heartbeat!

After an injury sustained to my ankle, I sought Dr. Nalamlieng's opinion. He was very thorough in his assessment and knew exactly how to treat my ankle. I was confident in his abilities and knowledge and so I opted for surgery. He was detailed with his explanation of the repairs that needed to be done and executed them exactly as he indicated. He was more than happy to answer all of my questions with regard to surgery and rehab. I have since recommended him and will continue to do so... Having had many

Dr. Soldberg was insightful and he listened to everything I had to say. He did my knee 5 yrs ago and I am going strong. What matters most is how a patient responds to rehabilitation. You need to work hard after surgery for it to make sense. Dr. Soldberg made me feel like WE were making the right decision, not him.

There better be a good reason for them to cancel our appointment TWICE. My mom had to go see Dr. Solberg for her knee arthritis, she had to take off 2 days at two different times just so they can call her early in the morning as she is about to leave for the appointment and tell her it is cancelled. What kind of a place is this exactly? Do they not care about their patients? Apparently not. Lots and lots of miscommunication amongst the staff and apparently the doctor too.

I've had bad experiences with some of the ortho docs to which I was assigned. Solberg falls under the category of "I'm the doctor" mentality. I have no idea how much he is paid per visit but my visits thus far have been less then five minute conversations. Did not seem interested in my questions as to how to proceed with PT.

I called the office today to find out why he says I cannot have TENS or electric stimulation for a hip replacement. The person who answered the phone seemed uneducated about these these terms and was not very helpful. All I am asking is that Solberg

I've had Dr. Solberg repair 5 torn tendons over the last 10 years due to heavy weight training and age. He's nothing short of amazing. Not only is he exemplary at restoring function, I'd say he a talented artist as well. Two of the tendons I tore were completely off the bone and so badly damaged that he had to shorten them and reattach them in a different location which could have easily resulted in my muscles looking different or even deformed afterwards as I've seen on many other people but it didn't. They look perfect. No one would ever know that I tore them off the
